Lee tried to apologize to Gwen multiple times, which surprised Gwen because she didn't think Lee cared enough to do that since she said what she said in the first place.
But she ended up getting the silent treatment from Gwen despite having apologized.

The orange hue of the golden hour shone perfectly on Gwens tan complexion as she sat on her bedroom floor, trying to learn a new song on her guitar.
"Goddamnit," She muttered. She messed up the chord and went to start the song over again.
After a minute she took a deep breath and sat her guitar up on its stand. She picked up her phone and looked at the time.
7:39
She sat in the quiet of her room for a while, listening to the steadiness of her own breath until she decided to leave.
She got into her car and went off to some fast food restaurant and drove up to an old radio tower where she would hang out with Gale a lot. She watched the sun set and scrolled on instagram a little before stopping on one of Gale's posts. She scrolled through the pictures and saw one where Gale was hanging out with Lee in his science class.
"What the fuck?" She had to squint her eyes to make sure they weren't deceiving her.
"Oh that's just bullshit." She huffed out before turning her phone off and getting back into her jeep.
She drove back home with a hurt feeling in her. Like she was being held up by two people and one let her go for the other one to hold.
She knew that Gale wouldn't purposely hurt her or just become friends with the person who hurt her just because he could. But it still hurt. He still posted it knowing she'd see it.

Lee was at home just in bed on her phone. She scrolled through social media, seeing pictures of girls with their friends. She used to have that. Not that she didn't have friends but there was a difference between people you talk to and best friends.
Scroll, scroll, scroll.
She stopped scrolling when she saw Gwen's account on her recommendations. She wouldn't follow her but she was curious. She just wanted to look.
She tapped on her profile and scrolled down through pictures until she found herself scrolling through pictures from two years ago. She was about to go back to her feed when she saw a picture of her with another girl.
She had seen the girl around school but she obviously looked different now. In the picture Gwen had her arms wrapped around the girl's waist and her face rested in the crevice of her neck.
The other girl was smiling widely and the sun was shining directly onto them. She wondered what happened between them. They looked so happy, what could've gone wrong?
That's not right. Nothing about a woman loving a woman is right.
She put her phone down and picked up one of her sketchbooks to start drawing. She always loved art since before she even became friends with Gwen in 5th grade. She picked up a pencil from a cup on her desk and started to draw her orange tabby cat sitting on the window sill.
"Nacho! Stay still I'm trying to draw you!" The cat started to move around from his sun bathing spot on the window, knocking over and cup in the process.
"Sometimes I wonder why I even bother with you." She put the book down and picked her cat up.
"I don't know why I worry about friends when I have you." She cooed to Nacho.

The week was finally coming to an end on Friday which meant the weekend was just beginning.
Gwen stopped at her locker with about twenty texts from Gale that she was ignoring.
"Gwen! Hey, what's up? I texted I just didn't know if your phone wasn't working or-"
"Yep," Gale stood in front of her locker while Gwen avoided eye contact.
"So your phone-"
"Yeah, Gale. It's not working right now." She said in an annoyed voice.
"What's wrong?"
"You're whats fucking wrong, dude. You're such a fucking hypocrite." She said, swinging her bag over her right shoulder and walking to her class.
"You're the one being a little church girl and not ever having time to hang out with your friends." He kept following Gwen.
"Because I'm trying to fucking do something with my life! It's not my fault all you want to do is smoke weed and party!" She knew that was a lie, Gale and Storey were two of the most interesting people she knew but she wasn't in the mood to be nice right now and Gale was just following her and not making it any better.
"You know what Gwen, fuck you. If you want to be that way, be that way." He said and then walked away.
Gwen walked into her class angrily and sat at her desk before her teacher even being able to say anything about her being late. She looked back at Lee and glared at her, causing the girl to look around with a blood red face.
The rest of the day was basically the same; Gwen in a horrible mood and everyone she encountered too scared to say anything.
When school was over she got into her car to find Storey passed out in the back seat.
"Storey! What are you doing?" The blonde girl woke up with a confused expression plastered to her face.
"Oh shit, hey. What's up?" Gwen rolled her eyes and turned around in her seat to look at the other girl.
"Why are you in my car?"
"I was tired so I skipped and I didn't know where to go so I crashed in here for a bit." She rubbed her eyes and Gwen laughed.
"Okay that's fine. Wanna come over to mine for a bit?" The blonde girl nodded and Gwen turned back in her seat, putting her Jeep into drive and leaving the school.
They got out and Gwen had to sneak Storey into the house since her parents didn't like her. They ran up to her room and locked the door. Once the stressful part was over Gwen swung her bag onto her bed and let out a big sigh.
"So, what's up with you?" Storey was always really straight forward with what she said.
"Nothing, I'm fine." Gwen threw on a fake smile and Storey raised a brow.
"No. You and Gale have had this weird tension and you've been walking around like someone pissed in your cheerios this morning. What's wrong?"
Gwen sighed and placed her head on her arm as she sat down at her desk.
"We'll first of all Lee, fucking bitch, got detention and I made fun of her for it and in return she called me a loud and annoying dyke. And second of all, Gale posted a picture of him being all smiley and happy with her so I've been ignoring him and not he's mad because this morning I called him a hypocrite and was a bit of an asshole."
Storey raised her eyebrows.
"Yeesh.. First of all, Lee? Fuck that bitch. Like seriously. And fuck Gale like yeah she outed you to the entire grade and whether that was years ago or not she still did it and not only that, she's still a homophobic asshole so yeah, Gales being a hypocrite. But knowing you, I'm sure you didn't elaborate on why you were mad at him which led him to think you just hated him and that's why he was hurt."
Wise words from Storey 🙏🙏
Gwen let out a breath of frustration, knowing that it was true. She didn't say anything about the post or what Lee has been like recently and just called him a hypocrite with no context.
"I'll make up with him on my own time. I don't want him to stay mad at me but i'm so frustrated right now with everything."
They stayed up longer until it was around 10:00 and Storey snuck out her window and went back home.
