Gwen's Pov~

The next few weeks were great. Lee and I finished getting everything we needed for the apartment (of course there's always room for improvement but it was perfect).
Lee had her room and I mostly just stayed in the living room on an air mattress which I'm pretty sure had a hole in it because of Lee jumping on it every morning to wake me up. We stayed at home a lot other than grocery shopping or hanging out with friends but after all the money we spent all together we didn't have much more to spend other than for rent.
"You should make that pasta thing you made last week. It was so good." Lee was stretched out on the couch and I was sitting on the love seat next to her.
"Carbonara? I can make that," I looked up from my computer. "I'll have to get some guanciale but I'm pretty sure we've got about everything."
"I love that you can cook. I'd be stuck with Kroger sushi and Top Ramen if it wasn't for you," She laughed and I chuckled with her.
"I enjoy it a lot so don't be shy to ask me to cook."
I had been thinking a lot about going to college to be a cook or something within the culinary area. I wasn't sure where I was going to go for school but I was going to start looking soon and putting in applications.
"You're like my personal chef," Lee said, inching herself off of the couch until she was sitting on the floor.
"What are you doing?" I said through a smile.
"Getting up. We need to go out and go shopping." She slowly stood up from the floor and took a couple steps to me. Once she got over to me, she moved my computer and sat down beside me, stretching her legs over my lap.
"I thought you said you were getting up," I smiled and she wrapped her arms around my neck.
"Did I? I don't remember that too well," She said, pretending to be confused on what I was talking about.
"Mmm, okay," I slipped my hand under her knees and the other under her back and stood up, holding her bridal style and walked to her room where our shoes where.
"Put me down!" She kicked her legs so I smirked at her and threw her on the bed.
"Get your shoes on, weirdo. I gotta make dinner."
We got in and out of the store quickly, buying a few things we didn't need, like Lee saw a plant in a pig pot and bought it and then we got some more plates and bowls.
By the time we got back home it was 8:30 and already getting dark which wasn't a big deal since the school year was going to be over soon. Senior prom was coming up as well and I still needed to get my outfit together for it.
We got home and I asked Lee if she wanted to help me cook, which she excitedly accepted.
I looked over to see that Lee was struggling to cut the meat into dice so I walked over to help. I stepped behind her and held her hands to show her how to do it but I'm pretty sure she wasn't even paying attention to what I was doing.
"You have really nice hands," She said quietly. I smiled at her since she was being pretty shy about it.
"You have really nice hands," I replied, trying to be equally as quiet as her. She turned around with a small smile that she tried to hide and just looked at me for a moment before pecking my cheek.
When dinner was ready we went to sit at the couch since we never used the dining room for actually dining.
"I'm gonna change really quick. Be right back," Lee said and quickly went into her room, shutting the door behind her. She came back out a couple minutes later with a spaghetti strap tank top and a pair of sleep shorts on.
Lee came over and sat close to me; well almost on top of me, with her legs sprawled out on my thighs.
We watched spider-man for a little while until she was almost asleep and somehow we ended up in her room on her bed laying down and her head was rested on my chest. I usually came into her room for movies or to hang out but I didn't want to make her uncomfortable so I always went back to the living room on my air mattress.
However, Lee was half asleep and I wasn't going to leave in case I'd wake her up unless she woke up herself.
"Gwen?"
"Lee,"
She shuffled herself to bend her leg over my waist.
"I really like you," I smiled at her sleepy voice.
"I really like you too, Lee." I whispered. I started to shuffle around so I could leave her and let her sleep but she grabbed my wrist softly and pulled me back to her.
"I want you to stay. I've always wanted you to stay. Lay back down." I could feel myself blushing at her statement but it was too dark for her to tell. I laid back down and tried to find the spot I was in before to make sure she had the most comfort.
"Goodnight, Gwen."
"Goodnight, Lee. Get some sleep, We have to go to school tomorrow." I whispered before kissing her forehead and quietly setting an alarm.
When the alarm went off I heard Lee groan loudly before rolling over and grabbing my phone. It was early in the morning; not too early because I usually didn't take long to get ready.
The first thing Lee did was take a shower and brush her teeth while I made a quick breakfast and made the bed.
"I'm so tired." I smiled at her sitting in the pretty wooden chair we found and placed it on the back patio. She was wearing shorts and a big band tee that I'm pretty sure was mine.
She took a big bite of the scrambled eggs I made her (I've found she hates them any other way) and looked down at the city.
"I love this place. It's so nice." I said through a content smile. Our little apartment was really nice. I thought I might've been invasive when I moved in with Lee, like she might've wanted her own space and I was getting in the middle of that, but she told me she loved my company and I could only trust her words and her actions to know the truth of that. I quite enjoyed her company as well. Her smell especially. It was faint and you could only smell the hint of her rose perfume when you were close to her but since she had been on every surface in every room of the apartment, her scent was everywhere and it brought a sort of warmth to everything at home.
"We should go soon, it's my turn to buy you coffee," Lee said as she finished her eggs.
We drove towards our school, stopping at Starbucks on the way so that Lee could buy us both coffee; we alternated turns every time we had to go to school.
I sat in the passenger seat, which was weird for me since I was usually the one driving but I liked being the passenger princess every now and then. Lee passed me my drink with a kiss on the cheek.
It was about time that the prom posters and cute couples started coming out. I wanted to ask Lee to go with me but I wasn't sure if she'd say yes or not. I didn't want to ask if she already had a date or anything.
Just as we walked into the doors there was a big line of people and one of the more popular guys was holding a bouquet of flowers and a big poster with the word 'PROM?' drawn on it. Just like clockwork, his girlfriend walked down the same hallway and started smiling real big and said she'd go to prom with him.
Everyone was cheering and shouting for a few minutes before a teacher got everyone out of the hall.
"That was cute. I'm happy for them; I love promposals." Lee said as she put her bag in her locker.
"Yeah me too,"
We both went our separate ways to class, where I was greeted by a smile from Gale in my first period.
