Lee's Pov~

-

I woke up when I heard Gwen sleep talking. She said something about the water getting out? I don't know but I thought it was pretty cute. It gave me an opportunity to just take her in. It had been a while since she was here. In my room, in my bed. With me.

I've missed it.

So. Much.

She was so peaceful like this. Her face rested and her lips slightly apart. Her hair fell over her face but I slowly pushed it back behind her ear.

I let out a soft sigh. Why did I have to ruin this? This is so... perfect. Why did I let myself overthink it. It's so beautiful yet simple. We were never hard to keep up with. We were just us. Why did I mess that up?

I; as quietly as I could, scooted closer to her and held her in my arms. She snuggled closer to me, burying her face into my neck.

Her warmth was like a genuine sun ray. The feeling when the water is cold but the spot where the sun is shining warms you up just enough to leave you wanting more.

She is my sun. She is my summer, the breeze on a hot day. I couldn't bare it without her. But I messed that up.

Her arms held tight around my bare stomach. She seemed to have realized where her hands were in her deep slumber because she was stroking her palm back and forth on the dip of my belly.

"Are you awake?" I asked quietly and received no response.

I just kept my head laying slightly above hers so that she still had her face in my neck.

I stroked her hair for a bit, braiding little pieces or twisting them around in my hand.

I kissed the top of her head and in return I got a kiss on my neck.

She mumbled something quietly but I didn't hear what she said.

"What was that?" I asked lightly.

"I said I miss you," She said a bit louder so I could hear.

I just laid there for a second and focused on her breathing against my body.

"I miss you too Gwen." I said through a sigh.

We laid there for a little while longer until she moved away from me.

"Can we go out later?"

I was just about to ask you.

"Of course, where do you want to go?"

Probably coffee.

"We could get coffee."

I'm so smart.

"That sounds perfect." I smiled and she returned the favor.

"Do you want me to make breakfast?" She asked. Honestly, it was all I wanted in the world. Cinnamon toast crunch was good but I missed her cooking more than anything in the world at that moment.

"Absolutely."

She rolled out of bed in her shorts and tshirt and left the door open so I could see her walk into the kitchen.

After a little while of smelling whatever she was cooking, I decided to make my way in there.

"Here I make waffles," She smiled and handed me a plate.

"I didn't even know I had a waffle iron." I laughed.

"I brought it over when I was still staying here."
