Gwen's Pov~

-

I woke up to the sound of a loud thud on the ground at the foot of mine and Lee's bed.

"Fucking hell," I heard a voice quietly say. I rubbed my eyes and stretched a bit before crawling down to see Edith fallen on the floor rubbing her head.

"God my head fucking hurts." She said in a pained voice.

"Hungover?" I asked plainly. I didn't drink too much. Enough to get me a little knocked up but not enough to give me a bad hangover.

She hesitated for a second before nodding slowly, "Uh.. yeah.." She stared at the floor for a second before picking herself up and walking out of the room. She slept on the foot of the bed last night. It wasn't a big deal, it's a long bed so I only kicked her a couple times..

"Where are you going?" I followed her as she walked towards the front door.

"Back to my place. I'll get out of your hair so you can go back to sleep," She said and groaned as she held her stomach and quickly ran back through the bedroom to the bathroom.

She stayed in the bathroom throwing up for a good ten minutes before she came out and confirmed that she was done.

Lee still laid peacefully asleep in the bed. Looking at her I decided that I didn't want to cook breakfast so I would order something; except it wasn't morning anymore. It was 2:16pm.

"Now I'm leaving." Edith stated and walked out.

"She's strange," I muttered to myself and laid back down next to Lee after ordering something to eat for the both of us.

Lee incoherently said something before rolling over and cuddling herself into me. Since last night I'd been wondering what happened with Lee and Edith at the party. It was obviously Lee was lying. She's never been a good lier, or maybe it just easy for me to see when people aren't telling the truth or are leaving something out.

I didn't doubt that Edith found Lee but I didn't think it was because Lee was throwing up. Lee didn't drink enough for that unless her body just reacted that way to the alcohol. I wasn't worried about Lee.. cheating or anything it just made me curious as to why she might lie to me.

"You're thinking too loud," Lee mumbled and moved back a bit to look at my face.

"Sorry," I weakly smiled before getting back out of bed when the buzzer sounded. "I think our foods here."

"You ordered us food?" She asked with a smiled and followed me to the door. She just wore underwear and a t-shirt so i wanted to make sure she stayed in the apartment while I ran to the lobby and got the food.

"Yes I did but you're not dressed so stay up here i'll just be a minute." She looked down at herself and groaned.

"Okay, be super quick," She kissed my cheek and I stepped out the door.

I made my way down to the lobby and pushed the button to get into the elevator.

When it got back up it opened and I was greeted by a familiar face.

"Carlos." I said plainly as he stepped out.

She shot me a fake smile, "Close it's actually Carlo. Without the 's'."

"Yeah yeah. What are you doing here? Your sister isn't exactly happy with you at the moment," I asked, annoyed.

"Well, happy with me or not, I still have the right to talk to her. And since she isn't answering any of my calls or messages I thought I'd bring it to her apartment."

I didn't like the idea of them being alone. I knew from experience that an unhappy homophobe isn't always pleasant and Carlo was a homophobe who was unhappy.

"I'm getting our food from the lobby but she's pretty tired so how about you just come with me and we'll all talk when we get back up here." I suggested and he raised an eyebrow before I pushed the button once again and the elevator doors opened.

"Fine."

The tall brunette followed me to the lobby and got the food. He didn't seem to want to make small talk or anything but I guessed it was because he didn't like me or something. Lee forgot to tell me what happened when they went for lunch since she was.. busy, but I could tell she was upset with him so I was skeptical of him being there at all.

We made our way back up to the apartment and we were standing in the elevator.

"You know you changed my sister completely. She used to be a perfect student and she used to go to church every Sunday and Wednesday but when she met you she started slipping," He muttered just loud enough for me to hear.

"I-"

Dingg!

The elevator doors opened and a stranger stepped in leaving the atmosphere in the elevator a bit tense.

After what felt like forever, the doors opened once more and we stepped out into the long hallway and went back to the apartment.

I unlocked it and peeped my head in to make sure Lee was in our room and then I let myself and Carlo in, setting the food on the dining room table.

"Just a second, I'll get Lee," I muttered and slipped into the bedroom where she sat on the floor with a mirror and did her makeup.

I sat down next to her and kissed her cheek. "You have a visitor.." I said quietly.

"You say it like it's a bad thing. Who is it?" I stayed quiet for a second before answering.

"Your brother," She shot me an irritated look and groaned. "He was already on the way up. I stopped him and convinced him to wait for me to talk."

Without a word she stood up and grabbed one of my sweatshirts, slipping it over her tank top, and opened the bedroom door to go to the living room.

Lee probably spoke three words for the entirety of the 'conversation' while Carlo just lectured her on how she was going against everything she had grown up with and how she needed to look at what she was doing because it was wrong. At one point he threatened to tell their aunt and uncle that she was dating me. When I finally had enough of him I just plainly told him he needed to leave and I saw him out.

"God. That was a lot, huh?" I said, sitting down beside her on the couch. Almost right as I sat down, she stood up.

"I need some time to think." Was all she said before she disappeared into the bedroom.
