Gwen rubbed her tired eyes as she woke up the Sunday after the party. She walked over to her vanity and looked in the mirror at herself. She had the same outfit on from the night before and she never took off her makeup either. Her hair was a mess and her eyes were puffy. Her ears were ringing and her head was pounding.

"Ugh," She scrunched up her face and ran her fingers through her hair, going over to her phone. She picked it up to see she had a bunch of missed calls and texts from Gale.

She groaned and put her phone down. She wasn't in the mood for this so she just ignored them.

She had church later that day and her mom forced her into another dress. She kept getting texts from everyone but she was too tired to pick her phone up. She didn't even remember how she got back home from the party.

She walked around with her parents until she found herself in one of the rows sitting on the bench for the service. She looked around a bit to see if she could see Lee. She didn't know why she even wanted to see her. She didn't. She just wanted to see where she was.

She spotted her sitting in her usual spot only this time there were a couple other people sitting with her. She faced back toward the front when Lee looked over at her.

After service was over she walked to the front with her mom and dad to talk to the pastor when Lee came over.

"Hello, Annalee! How are you?" Gwen's mom asked her in a sweet tone. Why couldn't she talk to Gwen like that?

"I'm doing fine, I was actually just coming over so I could speak to Gwen." Lee looked at Gwen and raised an eyebrow.

"Fine," Gwen said through a sigh and Lee look her by the hand and led her downstairs to the cafeteria of the church where it was just the two of them.

"What do you what?" Lee fiddled with her cardigan that was over her mid length dress.

"I wanted to see if you were okay." She looked at Gwen's face but couldn't read her expression.

"Why wouldn't I be okay?"

"You've not been hanging out with Gale, you haven't been talking to me, you didn't come to church Wednesday and you went to a party last night and everyone was drinking." Gwen's eyes widened slightly.

"How did you know I went to a party?"

"There's a video that someone posted I don't know who it was but Gale showed me. You were kissing someone, I mean I can't tell you who to not kiss but you did just kiss me right before but it's not a big deal I just wanted to see if you were okay since there were a lot of drinks and stuff."

Gwen sighed and rubbed a hand over her face.

"I'm fine. The kiss didn't mean anything with either of you. I didn't mean to kiss you."

"Yeah! I didn't mean to kiss you either I just-"

"Then stop talking about it." Gwen said and went back upstairs.

Gwen stood at her locker, grabbing binders and notebooks and her computer and putting them in her bag.
She crouched down next to her bag when she felt a shadow over her.

"Gwen. I need to talk to you." She looked up to see Gale who looked nervous.

"What?" She looked back down at her bag and put one last thing in it before standing back up.

"Can we go to an empty room to talk?" Gwen nodded but made it obvious she was annoyed. She followed him to the art room where they both put there bags on a table.
