Chapter 35

Gwen's Pov~

The day after everything with Lee and I happened, we had an assembly. Something about drug awareness. I was having a hard time focusing when I was sat next to Storey and Gale. Man, they can talk your ears off sometimes. But the day went by faster after the assembly ended since I got to skip a few classes because of it.

Storey decided on her own that she was going to come over to Gale's place after school so we just ended up hanging out in his living room playing the switch and Gale and I both pitched in to buy.

"Fuck!" Storey threw her head back and groaned as she crossed the finish line in mario cart in 8th place once again.

Gale sniggered and showed off to her that he got 1st place.

I got 5th. Nothing to be too proud about but at least I didn't get 8th..

"Shut the fuck up Gale." Storey hissed as she threw a pillow at him.

I laughed at the two of them bickering and let out a sigh.

It was around 6:45PM now and I wanted to make plans to go out and walk around or something since getting some fresh air helped clear my head a bit.

"Do either of you want to go to the park?" I asked both of them as they wrestled on the floor.

"Actually," Storey threw Gale off of her and stood up to dust herself off. "I probably have to be getting home. Eve and I had.. plans.." She trailed off and gave me an awkward smile.

"Okay that's fine, what about you Gale?" I looked to Gale as he picked himself up.

"Yeah I'll go with you!" He grinned and spun in a random circle.

I chuckled to myself and stood up from the pillow pallet we had made on the floor in front of the tv.

We all walked outside and said out goodbyes to each other.

"Have fun Storey," Gale teased with a wink.

"Oh shut up whore." Storey shouted back playfully before getting into her car.

We did the same and piled into my car and started to the park.

It was starting to get dark and it's getting closer to 7. We walked along the trail we usually went on until we got to a fork in the path. Normally when I was walking, I would go to the left where it led to the soundstage just because I liked to sit there and listen to music but this time I decided to go to the right where it goes to the part where people usually walked their dogs.

We continued walking until Gale found a big tree that he decided to climb.

"Go ahead without me, I'm gonna get the the top." He said, planning out his route to climb it.

I shook my head at him and chuckled. "Good luck with that. Come find me when you're done."

He jumped to a branch and skillfully made his way to the next, giving me a smile and a thumbs up once he was sitting up.

I continued walking and walked past a bathroom, saying hello to a girl my age as she walked in. I walked for not even another minute when I heard a familiar voice say something loudly.

"Could you leave?" The voice said. I stopped to listen for a minute while two people's conversation carried on.

"You're not scared, are you?" Another voice sounded, one that I didn't recognize.

"No."

There was a brief moment of silence and I couldn't hear what was said but then the girl spoke again.
