Gwen's Pov~
-
Since Lee and I kissed in the library I've been so overly giddy about everything. Gale literally let me borrow three dollars so I could get a Starbucks cake pop and I cried because I was so happy.
It had been a week and the moment was still replaying in my head every second making me want to giggle and kick my feet. We texted all the time and talked at school and church. She joked to me about how her uncle would hate the fact that she kissed me but she didn't regret it at all this time.
We didn't kiss at all after that but it's all i've wanted to do. Just kiss her all over her gorgeous face.
"Hey Gwen!" The girl walked up next to me in the hallway. We had our next class together so we walked there with each other.
"Hey," I replied.
"How's your day going?" She smiled at me.
"Good, better now." I smiled back and she raised an eyebrow.
"What happened?"
"You walked up next to me." I laughed at her obliviousness.
"Oh. Well thank you! My day has gotten better with you too!" She smiled. I loved her slight hint of innocence.
After the day ended I invited Lee to go to the movies with Gale, Storey, and I and she reluctantly agreed.
"What are we seeing?" Lee asked me, when we walked into the theater doors. She was holding onto my arm like we were dating or something.
"Bones and All. I've heard it's really good. Plus Timothèe Chalamet." I smiled down at her and she smiled back.
"Love makes me sick." Storey said making a gagging motion to Gale and going to get our tickets.
At that Lee quickly stood straight from her position leaning on me and dropped my arm. I was honestly a little sad but we weren't together or anything, we just kissed. Sure there was some chemistry or something between us but still.
I got a bucket of popcorn and Lee got a slushee that she agreed to share with me if I didn't drink it all. We sat next to each other and we all shared snacks.
Lee leaned her head on my shoulder and I kissed her head. She even let me hold her hand. By the end of the movie Lee was half asleep on my shoulder and Storey and Gale were sobbing to each other.
"Let's leave this place I feel like I've been robbed of my hear-" Storey started and then stopped when She saw a girl walking down one of the rows. "Okay I lied. My heart is back. Ho-ly shit she is pretty.."
Gale laughed out loud at her words and I helped Lee up out of her seat.
"Shut the fuck up Gale!" She said, slapping his back as he bent over to catch his breath.
"Go get her number or something!" I encouraged her.
"Come with me. Please please please." I agreed and we all went with her to get the girls number. She was just about to walk out the door when Storey caught her.
"Hi! Hi hi. Uhm.." She started and looked back at me and I waved for her to keep going. "Uhm, you're super pretty you're not into girls by any chance?" She said.
The girl laughed a little and smiled.
"You're super pretty too. Do you want my number?" Storey's face lit up and it's like I could see her internal happy dance.
"Yes! Yes. I'd like your number.." She said as she got out her phone. I watched the girl type in her contact and Storey gave me a proud look.
"I'm Evelina by the way, but call me Eve." She smiled.
"I'm Storey," They talked for another minute before the girl's friend told her they needed to go and apologized to Storey.
She came back to us with the biggest smile on her face.
"I GOT HER NUMBER!!" She said and hopped around a little bit, making Lee laugh beside me.
We went to a local beach shop where Lee and I got matching t-shirts that had a surfing turtle on them.
My mom had no idea that I was remotely attracted to Lee so she checked with her aunt and uncle and she stayed at my place after Gale and Storey went home.
"So, Lee, what're you doing running around with my daughter? I'm sure there's better people to be around."
Great start!
"Mom please don't start this stuff." I halfway begged.
"What? It's true! You've come home high or you wake up random mornings hungover! You're a bad influence I'm just saying that a good girl like Annalee should be hanging out with better people." She spat. God I hate this woman. I wish some other fake blonde could've pushed me out of her vagina.
"I like your daughter quite a lot Mrs. Harley. She's a really interesting person and is really fun to be around." Lee said politely and it seemed to shut my mom up, who sat down at the dining table next to my dad.
"Let's say grace, Gwen." My dad glared at me as I picked up a fry and shoved it in my mouth.
"Right." I said through a sigh and took Lee's hand, trying not to smile at the fact that we were holding hands again.
After dinner, Lee and I went upstairs to my room and sat down on my bed.
"I'm sorry about my mom. I should've warned you about her. But thanks.. for saying that. You didn't have to." I spoke.
"It's true though. I love being around you. I would've done the same thing if someone from school was talking bad about you." I smiled at her kind words. She was really an amazing person. She helped out in a lot of charities and food and clothing drives. Stuff like that. And overall she was just a really sweet person. I loved that about her.
I brought her into a big hug. I don't think she knew how much those words meant to me.
"Thank you," I said softly and she pulled away from the hug to look at my eyes.
"I think I like you," She blurted out. "Like like you. Like more than a friend."
I smiled and chuckled at her before bringing her into a deep kiss. She quickly kissed back and wrapped her arms around my neck, holding the back of my head and bringing me closer. Soon I backed away and smiled at her, this time we both looked at each other.
"I hope that was okay. I just really wanted to do that." I said and she nodded quickly.
"Gwen that was more than okay." She said through a laugh.
"I like you too." I said and she hugged me again which turned into a cuddle and her waking up next to me in bed the next day.
