It's been a few weeks since Erin joined my ever-growing posse. Surprisingly, the Slytherin house has been rather accommodating of her, even after finding out about her true appearance due to an accident. It might have a lot to do with their seemingly devote belief in me or their unwavering loyalty but so far they've only aided me in ensuring she's comfortable.
Outside of Slytherin, everyone thinks she's a shy student. A magic necklace I created for her with the help of mother and Dumbledore keeps her true appearance hidden but since it doesn't remove her wings, she still has to avoid bumping into people or things as she walks or reaches for something.
Valentina: Aren't you going to get up?
Me: Let me be...
Valentina: Erin's already ready and we can't afford to miss the field trip.
Me: Field trip?
Valentina: The thing Snape told us yesterday...
Oh...that field trip. Should I admit to forgetting it? Truth be told, I've had much greater concerns as of late than an impending school trip. Then again, this might be just what I need to clear my head and get me back on the right track.

Me: Let's go before they dispatch another search party.
Valentina: I'm not letting go of your hand this time, less you vanish before my eyes again!
Me: Fine by me but don't complain when my palms get sweaty.
Valentina: My body doesn't give off heat so I doubt-
She releases my hand, wiping her own in her clothes as we continue walking towards the train.
Valentina: Ewww...what's on your hand.
Me: Haha. Water but it proves my point doesn't it?
Valentina: Magic water doesn't count as sweat but fine. I won't hold your hand the entire time.
Erin: You really love each other.
Me: I wouldn't call it "love"-
Valentina: Oye. I didn't die for you out of hate-
Erin: You died?
We both stare at her, neither uttering a word.
Erin: What, is it something I said?
Valentina: You know I'm a vampire, right?
Erin: Yeah?
She answers so nonchalantly that I can't even find the words to respond.
Erin: Ohhh! I see. Wait, so does that mean you became a vampire for her?
Me: Haha, she wishes. The little fiend broke in-
