As we enter the opening where my coffin had previously been stored, I'm not at all surprised to find my foe surrounded by witches and wizards aligned with his cause. Unlike us, however, who are mainly sporting the colour green they are all dressed in black.

Voldemort: How lovely to see you, cousin.

He says the last part with a snicker even as he roughly pulls Valentina to the front of their group. She's chained and despite her regeneration, she's clearly been repeatedly beaten. Choosing to ignore the state she's in for now, I turn to face him directly.

Me: We'd be distant relatives at best.

Voldemort: I-

Me: While we're speaking of family, aren't you quite the disappointing descendant?

Voldemort: What are you-

Me: I mean, not only have you failed to carry on our legacy but you actively ruined it with your little game, which you lost.

Voldemort: Do I look like I'm losing?

Me: Says the one defeated by a little child too young to so much as talk let alone cast a spell.

Voldemort: You-

As if just remembering that he still holds leverage in this situation, he turns towards Valentina and sinks his long nail into a fresh wound. Valentina bites into her lips to prevent herself from screaming but I can tell it hurts. She might be a vampire but all that means is that she's far more sensitive.

Bagnold: Release her, you monster!

Mother gets ready to cast a spell but I quickly stop her before facing Voldemort once more.

Me: You asked me to come and I'm here. What do you want?

Voldemort: What I want?

Anger flashes across his face for a brief moment before he manages to regain his composure.

Voldemort: Join me. Together we can-

Me: Let me stop you right there. I have no intention of joining you.

Voldemort: Then you'll die. You will all die!

He raises his wand towards Valentina but before he can open his mouth I summon the Devil's Snare from my vault and it knocks the wand from his hand as it grabs every nearby thing, including Valentina.

Voldemort: AAARRRGGHH!!

Various witches cast spells to force the snare back but it still manages to buy me enough time to free Valentina before returning it to the vault.

Once it clears the battlefield, all hell breaks loose as witches and wizards from both sides begin firing spells towards one another. Voldemort, still disarmed, is forced to duck for cover as wave after wave of spells crash against the concrete pillars, slowly chipping away at their magically reinforced defence.

Dark Wizard: AVADA KEDAVRA!

The spell gets blocked by a protective charm surrounding one of the students and the wizard doesn't get the chance to attempt a second time as Dumbledore fires a spell of his own which sees the man explode into a pile of ash.

At the same time, Erin takes Valentina away from the fighting and behind our lines whilst shielding her from attacks as best as she can but they're both protected by house elves from Hogwarts who quickly spread out to cover the students thus allowing the more experienced staff to focus their full attention against the foe.
