We see the 10th Doctor struggling to help Rose as the Ourobphomes tighten their grip around her neck. We hear the roar of the Terraphomes come from inside the cave, the Doctor turns to see. The horrific Terraphomes began to slither their way into the Doctor's sight. The Ourobphomes hiss and squirm around Rose as they prepare to feed off her. ZAM! ZAM! ZAM! The snake-like worms around her are shot down from behind. The two Slitheen with two energy guns shoot down the Ourobphomes from the ceiling to save Rose. Rose then runs back to her Doctor. She and the Doctor hug each other as Rose regains her breath.
Tenth Doctor:
It's alright. I've got you. You're safe now.
Rose:
That was horrible. What would of happened to me?
Tenth Doctor:
Suffocation. Then consumption. Of organic material. It would have stripped you dry like squeezing the juice of an orange.
Rose:
Ugh!
The TerraPhomes keep advancing! The Slitheen keep repelling them.
Slitheen. What? What are they doing here?
Veego:
He's made us do it.
The Ninth Doctor emerges.
Rose:
What? But how? He's...
Tenth Doctor:
No. He can't be here.
Ninth Doctor:
Reckon you might need some help.
Tenth Doctor:
What are you doing here?
Ninth Doctor:
Saving you from those things. These chaps are helping me do so.
Rose:
But he's... I thought... why? Why does it have to be him?
Rose is intrigued by the Ninth Doctor.
Tenth Doctor:
Rose, you mustn't.
Rose:
But he's you. Before we met, right? Then what is he doing here? Why is he following us?
Ninth Doctor:
He can tell you that. I was just passing by.
Rose takes a good look at him.
But now we have other more important things to worry about.
Tenth Doctor:
Like not meddling with history further.
Ninth Doctor:
Well, your welcome, for getting these two and helping rescue the pair of you from this filthy stuff.
The Terraphomes begin closing in. The Tenth Doctor and Rose hurry behind the Slitheen who try to fire back at the horrid monsters. Their guns weren't working, as we hear the power drain from them. The Slitheen get nervous.
Burtch:
Oh. Don't wish to worry you, but our guns have run out of juice.
More Terraphomes begin to menace them through the other tunnel.
Tenth Doctor:
The smell of our scent must be driving them insane.
