91} The Great Escape

"Hey!" Robin yelled down at Mike and Lucas who'd brought the dead demogorgon to the radio tower.
"What are you doing?" Mike called up, confused as to why Will, Robin, and Alice were all still on top of the building.
"The cables won't reach the ground, Wheeler," Alice crossed her arms over her chest, "Duh."
"That means we're gonna have to do our little science experiment up here," Robin sighed and threw down some ropes to the boys.
They watched as Lucas and Mike tied the ropes to the demo that they dragged onto the floor before throwing the other end back up. Alice and Will pulled them across the rooftop and plopped them back down on the other side where Joyce had pulled the van around to. Finally, Mike and Lucas secured the loose ends to the van so Joyce could hoist the demo up and over. Will hopped down off of the roof, standing next to the van.
"Take it really slow," He instructed his mom.

Robin, Lucas, and Will all met up next to the demo, holding brooms at the ready to help push it up.
"Ready?" Robin asked and the boys nodded, "Ready!" She yelled up to Alice and Mike, who relayed it back to Joyce.
Joyce started to slowly drive forward while the trio shoved the demogorgon right onto the roof.
"Stop!" Alice shouted at Joyce before turning to Mike, "Ready to stick some nails in this thing, Mikey?"
"Please never call me that again," He groaned.
"No stopping me, Mikey," She ruffled his hair, "Especially when you tell me to not do something. I will do it just on principle."
They unwrapped the demo from its sling and immediately started hammering nails into it. They finished it off by tying the wires to the ends.
"We did a pretty good job," Mike proudly smiled.
"Totally, Mikey," Alice pulled him in for a side hug, "This fucker is going to fry. Okay, guys!" She turned to look down at everyone else, "We're all set up here!"

Will sat down on the ground with Joyce right next to him.
"If anything happens," She took a deep breath, "You just get out of there. If Jenna doesn't show up or if Vecna turns on you, just... leave."
"I will. I promise," Will nodded.
"And if shit really hits the fan," Lucas squatted down next to him, "We just crank up the voltage, burn out the particles, unplug him from the hive."
Will gave him a weak nod before turning to his mom, "Mom?"
"Yeah?" She grabbed his hand.
"Thank you for trusting me."
"Kill the bastard."
"All right, you got this," Lucas patted him on the shoulder.
Will let out a huge exhale then closed his eyes.
"Light her up, Frankenstein!" Alice giggled.
"It's pronounced Fronkensteen!" Robin flipped her off as she entered the tower, cranking up the voltage slowly.

"That's disgusting," Alice pointed at the demo's twitching finger, "Fucking gross! I don't like that it's moving."
"Ewww," Mike cringed.
"Oh, now it's toes are wiggling!" Alice turned around and gagged, "I don't like that at all!"
"It's okay," Mike turned her back around, "Look, that just means it's working. Oh my god, it's working!"
"Rob, stop!" Alice ran to the edge to tell her.
"We're at 50%!" Robin yelled back up.
Everyone who wasn't with Will ran over to him and joined him.
"Come on, Cous," Alice bit her nails anxiously, "You can do it."
Will started convulsing before his eyes shot open and twitched to the back of his head.
"I think I'm Derek," He told them, "He's with the others. The other lost children."
"What about Holly?" Mike gulped, "Is she there?"
Will paused for a moment, "Henry is searching for her. Max."

"Wait, wha- what about Max?" Lucas stuttered
"She's with Holly. But Vecna... Vecna's hunting them. I need to find Jenna. Now," Will closed his eyes again, searching around everywhere for her, "I... I think I found her..."
Alice reached down and interlocked her fingers with Robin's, hoping that he actually found her.
Come on, Jen. Please... please be you.

"You did not stab me with a table leg," Jenna gasped.
"I totally did!" Steve defended, "You were gonna kill me if I didn't do anything."
"I'm amazed. I wouldn't think you'd have the balls to fight me let alone hurt me."
"I have plenty of balls, thank you very much."
Jenna burst out laughing, "Please never say that again. Ever."
"Why... oh. I hear it now."
She picked her head up from his chest and placed a kiss on the tip of his nose, "You're ridiculous. I-" She cut herself off when she noticed another door appear across from her, "Why do doors keep popping up in my head today? Wonder what this is."
She got up off of Steve and walked over to the door. Before she could open it, Will burst through.
