BEEP!

I need a new alarm

BEEP!

Ruining my peaceful sleep...

BE-

"Babe," Steve kissed the top of Jenna's head after turning their alarm off, "We need to get up."
"Nooooo," She buried her face against his chest, "I don't wanna go to work!"
"You only have a half day," He picked her up, carrying her to their closet, "Hop needs his deputy," She pouted at him, "And I have some coaching to do."
"You're right," She sighed as he sat her down on their dresser, "The kids need you. But me? Hop doesn't need me today."
"Jenna," He groaned, pulling her shirt over her head and replacing it with her deputy uniform, "You'll be out in time to take pictures with Dustin and pick me up."
"I don't wanna," She yawned, "We could go back to bed... get cozy again..."
"As wonderful as that sounds," He finished changing her, "We can do that after our wedding. Which is tomorrow. And we need to finish putting everything together still."

Jenna hopped down, smiling up at him, "I know. I don't actually mind going to work, I just love when you pamper me."
Steve rolled his eyes, "Yeah, I figured after you kept whining. Does Alice have the caterer squared away?"
"Of course she does, you asked me that yesterday... and you asked her AND Robin," She pulled his baseball cap down on his head, "You look so cute in your uniform."
"You too, Deputy Henderson."
"I love when you call me that," She pulled him in for a kiss, "Now before I get swept up in the chaos of today, remember we have a very booked day. Work, graduation, meet up with the gang, dinner at Enzo's with Joyce and Hop, and then I have the DND campaign."
"Why did we plan all of this on the same day?"
"Don't know, but it's one last hoorah before tying the knot," She grabbed his hand, "Let's get a move on."

They ran down to the car. Due to them saving for the wedding and a house, Steve hadn't gotten a new car yet. A teacher's and deputy's salaries only made it so far. Once inside, Jenna blasted Heaven is a Place On Earth from the cassette player. Steve looked over at her, smiling, as she happily sang along. Soon, they pulled up to the little league field.
"Don't wreck the car," Steve hopped out and handed the keys over to Jenna with a kiss.
"Shut up, this is my car. The only time I even came close to crashing it was like five years ago."
"Don't care, I'll tell you every time because-"
"I suck at driving," She stuck her tongue out at him and got behind the wheel, "I'm well aware. Have a fun time, I'll be back later to pick you up. Love you."
"Love you."

Jenna drove right down the street to the police station.
"There she is!" Hop smiled as she walked into the station.
"How's it goin' in here?" She grabbed her hat from the hook, "Anything going on this early in the morning?"
"Well-" Callahan tried to talk.
"Shut up, Callahan," Jenna and Hopper groaned at the same time.
"Only a noise complaint from Mrs Harris, dear," Doris explained, "Nothing crazy."
"Thank you," Jenna smiled, "Someone's voice I can tolerate."
"Come on, kid," Hop started to shove her right back out the door, "We're gonna do a quick patrol and then you're free."
"Fuck yeah," She sighed, "Thanks, Hop."
They got into the squad car, "I know you wanna be there for Dustin. Just like I wanna be there for Will."
"And Mike? He is dating El."
"You know better than to talk about him."
"I know, I'm just messing with you."

The pair did a quick patrol around Hawkins, mindlessly chatting about random things. As their drive came to an end, Jenna finally asked what she'd been meaning to ask for a few months.
"Hop?" She closed her eyes as they pulled back into the station.
"Yeah?"
"I was wondering if, uh... if you'd walk me down the aisle tomorrow?"
He sat there, stunned, "Of course! Why didn't you say anything sooner?"
"I don't know, I was just nervous."
"There is no world where I would tell you no. Now I need to really make sure my suit is ironed."
Jenna glanced at her watch, "Thanks, Hop. I need to go pick Steve up from the field now. See you at graduation and at dinner."
"See you then, Jen."
