"Holy shit!" Steve pulled Jenna into his arms, rubbing her back as she coughed, finally back to her body, "You're back, you're really back!"
"Yeah," She croaked, "I'm back. I came back to you," Both of them pulled back slightly, taking in the other's face. Jenna reached her hands up and wiped the tears from beneath his eyes, "Don't cry, Stevie. I'm here."
"I know," More started to spill over, "I'm just- I'm so happy I got you back," He wiped some tears from her face as well, "You're crying too, dummy."
"Dingus?"
He let out a laugh, "Yeah, dingus."
They both sat there in each other's arms, feeling relieved, overwhelmed, happy, and a bunch of other feelings in between they couldn't quite describe. Steve scooted back from her slightly and tightly held one of her hands in his, "I know this is shitty timing, but I don't wanna regret anything—seeing as everything is so unpredictable right now—especially when it comes to us."
"Steve..."
"You've gotten pulled away from me so many times and each time I realize more and more that I can't live without you, Jen. You're my favorite person in the whole world and the only person who's ever seen me—the real me—and chosen to love me because of that. My household had been shitty my entire childhood and I never really knew what love really was because there was none around me. That was until I met you and then when I saw you in your Snow Ball dress and you kissed me, I knew for sure. That's when I knew what love was and that I loved you. So, Jenna Henderson," He propped himself up on one knee and dug around in his pocket, pulling out his ring and holding it out to her, "Will you marry me?"
Jenna stared at him in complete shock, "No."
"No?" He asked, extremely confused.
She pushed his hand away, "No, you don't get to do that first," She pulled a ring out of her back pocket, "I've had this thing for months and it's been like a ticking time bomb in my pocket because I never found the right time to ask you. Even throughout everything going on with my mind, being possessed, and me putting my life on the line time and time again, you're always there for me. No matter what. If I ask you to fight off a psychotic beast or kill a spider in our room, you say yes. Not because you want to, but because you love me. And I love you so much that I'd rather put myself in danger because I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I let anything happen to you. You've been my rock, my person, and my best friend for most of my life and it's been my favorite part of being alive. You make me want to live and are the reason why I never stop pushing through anything that stands in my way. So no, Steve Harrington, I don't accept your proposal because," She mirrored his position, kneeling on one knee and holding a ring out, "I need you to say yes to mine first."
He broke out into a fit of laughter, "Yes, Jenna," He held his hand out so she could slip the ring on his finger, "I will marry you."
"Then I will marry you," She waited until he put her ring on her finger before pulling him by the shirt into a kiss.
Their lips smashed together with a passion neither one had ever felt before. They clung to each other, not being able to get quite enough. Steve moved one of his arms around her waist to get a better hold on her, but she pulled back.
"What is it?" He asked, panic immediately taking over.
"I think from when you stabbed me with the table leg," She chuckled, reaching down to her side and pulling up her shirt to find it only partially healed over, "That bastard couldn't even fix me up before making me fight more. How rude," She held her hand over it and fully healed it.
"I'm so sorry," He rubbed the back of her free hand, "I really didn't want to hurt you."
"It's fine as long as it kept you and Dustin alive. Now, where were we?"
Before they could move any closer to one another, Dustin burst through the door in the back of the room, trying to yell into the walkie.
"Nancy? Jonathan? Do not do anything!" He screamed, though his voice broke up on the other end due to the antenna being broken, "Don't touch it! Don't touch anything!"
"Touch what?" Jenna looked at him with frantic eyes. He stared at her, not believing that Steve's plan worked and he actually got her back, "Well? We can talk later about me, what is going on?"
"They found it," He snapped out of his daze, "They found what's keeping the wall up."
"No..."
"How do you know about the shield generator?" Steve questioned.
"Long story, but we need to go. Now. Where are they?"
"Uh..." Steve followed behind her as she stormed out of the room, "They went upstairs towards the roof."
