Background info: High school! Ranboo shows affection very differently than most people, so when he gives Tommy a rock, Tommy is confused.

Tommy POV
I was just hanging out at lunch with Wilbur and Techno. For some reason, Ranboo isn't here yet. Until that is, he tapped my shoulder. "Oh! Hey love!" I said as he stood there. "Hi! Put out your hand!" He seemed very happy.. "Uh.. Alright.." I put out my hand, and he puts a rock in it. "I found that, and I thought you should have it!" Then he ran off. "What the hell?" Wilbur said as soon Ranboo ran away. "Shut the hell up, Wilbur. Why a rock..?" Techno asked. "I don't know! But it's a cool rock! So.." I just put it in my pocket. "That reminds me of today he gave me a stick this morning.." Wilbur mumbled. "It was a stick for you? He gave me a leaf!" Techno told Wilbur.

"Ok, what he gave you, that aside. Why the hell did they give me a rock?" I asked the 2. "Their your boyfriend. You should know." Techno shrugged. "You dumbass! Can you actually try to be useful in this situation?!" Wilbur yelled. "Excuse you?! You shouldn't be talking bitch!" Techno shouted, shoving his sandwich on the tray. "Oh please! You're adopted!" Wilbur screamed back, facing Techno. "So are you! We just had the same birthday, and we were the same age, so we're twins!" Techno screeched while I face palmed. These guys are being useless.. I walked over to Ranboo's friend group, and for some reason, Ranboo wasn't there. "Hey, uh.. Do you know why I got a rock from Ranboo?" I asked the 3 that sat before me, also known as Devon, Tubbo, and Purpled.

"We don't know! We just got some sticks from them, too!" Then the 3 showed me the sticks they got. "Ughhhh.. Alright.. I'll pull out the big guns.." I got out my phone and texted Bill and Aimsey. And when they didn't respond, I called them. "Hey, uh.. Do you know why Ranboo gave me a rock and Devon, Tubbo, and Purpled sticks?" I asked, putting the phone on speaker. "Oh yeah.. Ran does this thing once in a while where they find random things on the field and give it to people he cares about." Aimsey said. "Oh yeah! Isn't their like certain meanings for things?" Bill asked Aimsey. "Yeah! It was like.. Stick means you mean a lot to them.. And I think leaf they see you as a parental figure.. And I think.. Rock.. Uh.. What does it mean again?" Aimsey's voice trailed off.

"Rock means they love you. Like. A LOT. Then I'm pretty sure there was this one time he gave us a flower.. But it was a one-time thing, then it was always a stick. You're lucky, Ran doesn't give rocks very often." Bill responded to Aimsey. W o a h. I am lucky! "Is that all you called for?" Bill added. "Yeah." I shrugged. "You dumbass you interrupted my nap." Bill said angrily before hanging up. "Bye, Tommy!" Then Aimsey hung up. I did after a few seconds later. "Awh! He cares about us!!" Tubbo said before I walked off.

I walked back to my table and saw the twins getting ready to throw hands. "Guys! You dumbasses! Stop!" I shouted, making them stop. "I found out what the stuff we got from Ran means." They then proceed to shut up to hear me out. "Stick means he cares about you. Leaf means you're a parental figure to them. And rock means they love you." I was proud of rock now. I don't know why. "HAH! SO IM BETTER!" Techno screamed suddenly. "SHUT THE HELL UP BITCH!" Then the 2 started swinging on each other.
