Kevin, Archie and Veronica stood in Archie's garage staring at Joaquin.
"We know FP used his call from Jail to get in touch with you. What did he say?" Archie asked
"It was basically just a warning. He said to find Salem and lay low." Joaquin replied
"No one uses their one call to say "lay low." Veronica said
"Joaquin, do you know something?" Kevin asked
Joaquin avoided eye contact.
"I'm not talking to you as your boyfriend, I'm talking to you as the sheriff's son. Did Fp kill Jason?" Kevin asked
There was silence.
"Did Salem kill Jason?" Kevin questioned
"No, God no." Joaquin said
"Well?" Kevin asked
"Yeah, he did. I mean I assume." Joaquin answered
"Oh my god." Kevin said
"Did you see him pull the trigger?" Veronica asked
"No, no. Salem was the only one that saw something that night." Joaquin said
"Then why do you think he did it?" Archie asked
"On July 11th, I got a phone call in the middle of the night from Fp, he said he needed some help with a clean-up job at the Whyte Wyrm." Joaquin explained
"What job?" Kevin asked
"The basement of the Wyrm is off limits to everyone, you know besides the Black Mamba." Joaquin said
"Black Mamba?" Kevin questioned
"Besides the point, that's where I met FP and Salem who was crying hysterically, then I saw Jason's body. He had been shot, I never asked FP if he did it. Salem was just in complete shock, I mean we were terrified, I just assumed. We stashed the body in the freezer as Salem was scrubbing the floor as we got rid of the evidence." Joaquin explained
"You are a criminal." Kevin announced
The three stared at Kevin.
"Oh my god! Salem is a criminal!" Kevin yelled
"Joaquin, FP has done jobs for my dad, Hiram Lodge, in the past. Do you think killing Jason was one?" Veronica questioned
"There was one time I overheard a conversation between FP, Salem and Mustang." Joaquin said
"Who's Mustang?" Archie asked
"Another Serpent, the only other guy that knew about the clean up. The guy you got in the fight with at the Wyrm. I heard him telling them something about some rich kid, I don't know who." Joaquin explained
"Where is Mustang?" Veronica asked
"Oh no, no, no. You don't want to go see him." Joaquin pleaded
"Yes I do and you're gonna take us or." Veronica said
"I'm going to tell my dad about your little clean up job." Kevin threatened
"You would screw Salem over like that?" Joaquin asked
"Try me." Kevin said
Betty, Jughead and Kevin were walking out along the road leading into the forest.
"Whatever it is we're looking for, Joaquin didn't know if it could help your dad or make it worse." Kevin said
"Well I guess we're about to find out. Also why did he wait so long to tell us?" Betty asked
