These two plane crashes take us to the country of Australia, which is located in the Indian Ocean and the Pacific Ocean and is located south of Indonesia and is located west of New Zealand.

On the 31st of December 1968, a Vickers Viscount aircraft, registered as Victor Hotel- Romeo Mike Quebec (VH-RMQ), departed from Perth International Airport (IATA: PER, ICAO: YPPH), Western Australia for a domestic flight of 724 nautical miles (1,341 kilometres) to Port Hedland International Airport (IATA: PHE, ICAO: YPPD).
The aircraft crashed 28 nautical miles (52 kilometres) short of it's destination, with the loss of all twenty six people on board, more than half of the planes right wing, from the outboard of the inner engine (Engine Number 2, the left engine near the fuselage) to the wingtip, including the outer engine (Engine Number 1, the furthest left engine next to Engine Number 2) and the Number one propeller broke away from the rest of the aircraft in flight and the propeller struck the ground a significant distance from the main wreckage.
The summary of the crash was metal fatigue caused by a maintenance error.

On the 10th of June 1960, a Fokker Friendship passenger aircraft operated by Trans Australia Airlines (TSA) was on approach at night to land at Mackay Airport (IATA: MKY, ICAO: YBMK), Queensland, Australia, when the plane crashed into the sea, all 29 people on Trans Australia Airlines Flight 538, registered as Victor Hotel- Tango Foxtrot Bravo (VH-TFB), were killed in the crash.
Miskell (Who was the ATC controller on duty at the time of the crash) telephones the airport fire services for the latest ground temperature, which was 13 degrees Celsius, he the reported this information to Flight 538, there was no acknowledgement from the plane, Miskell transmitted the message again, nothing was heard and the time was 10:05pm, there was no reply at 10:10pm, Miskell started the procedure for launching a search and rescue operation.
The summary of the crash was Controlled Flight into Terrain.
