This plane bombing takes us to the Caribbean nation of Barbados, which is located in the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean.

Cubana de Aviación Flight 455, registered as Charlie Uniform- Tango 1201 (CU-T1201), was a Cuban flight from Seawall Airport (IATA: BGI, ICAO: TBPB), Barbados, to Palisadoes Airport (IATA: KIN, ICAO: MKJP), Jamaica, when it was brought down on the 6th of October 1976 by a terrorist bomb attack, all 73 people on board the Douglas DC-8, which was doing the flight and route, aircraft were killed after two time bomb went off and the plane crashed into the sea, the crash also killed every member of the Cuban national fencing team.
Four men were arrested for bringing down the plane; Freddy Lugo, he was sentenced to 20 years in prison, Hernán Ricardo Lozano he was also sentenced to 20 years in prison, Orlando Bosch moved to Miami, Luis Posada Carriles fled after eight years in prison and no charges were brought against Rafaelde Jesus Gutierrez.
At an altitude of 18,000 feet, two bombs exploded on board the plane, one bomb was located in the rear lavatory and the other bomb was located in the midsection of the passenger cabin, the first bomb (the one in the rear lavatory) ultimately destroyed the aircraft's control cables and the second bomb (the one in the midsection) blasted a hole in the aircraft and it started a fire, the crew realised that a successful landing was no longer possible and the crew turned their aircraft away from the beach and towards the Caribbean Sea off Porters, St James, this decision saved the lives of many tourists and the crash occurred about eight kilometres short of the runway.
