Vietnam Airlines Flight 815, registered as Victor November- Alpha 120 (VN-A120), was a scheduled Vietnam Airlines passenger flight which crashed while it was on final approach to Phnom Penh International Airport (IATA: PNH, ICAO: VDPP), the flight was from Tan Son Nhat International Airport (IATA: SGN, ICAO: VVTS), Vietnam, the crash occurred on the 3rd of September 1997.

The Soviet built Tupolev Tu-134B-3 airliner serving this flight crashed approximately 800 meters (2,600 feet) short of the Phnom Penh Runway, the crash killed 65 out of the 66 people on board the plane, as of 2023, it remains the deadliest accident in Cambodian History, there was a sole survivor, Chanayuth Nim-anong, who was 14 months old at the time, he was the youngest sole survivor of any aviation accident.

The plane descended to 100 feet, with no visual of the Runway, the Flight engineer and the First Officer asked the Captain to abort the landing attempt, by this time though it was to late to save the plane, four seconds later the left wing of the plane struck a palm tree, at that time the plane was not in line with the Runway, it veered left across to the military side of the airport, the plane struck a tree which caused one of the plane's engine's to stop, the right wing of the plane skimmed across a house, the plane then tilted to the left and it hit the ground at 270 kilometres per hours, the aircraft then slid 200 yards (180 meters) through several dry rice paddies before it exploded at around 1:40pm, the wreckage of the plane was looted by local villagers.

The summary of the crash was Controlled Flight into Terrain due to Pilot error.
