I stared at him, still not understanding what he was trying to say, so instead, I asked the question that I have been desperately wanting to know. "Do you love her?"

His eyebrows scrunched together, and oddly enough, it didn't make him appear any less appealing; in fact, he looked as perfect as always. Although, when isn't he perfect to me? "What?" He questioned.

I sighed, before repeating my question to him again. "Do you love her?" I spoke slowly, breaking apart my words.

His face relaxed, finally understanding what I was asking. He looked pained to answer, but he did anyway, and I was the one left in pain. "Yes, yes I do."

"Does," I stopped myself before I could break down while speaking to him. I sucked in my breath, finding my composure, then calmly said, "Does she make you happy?"

Once again, he asked, "What?"

"Does she make you smile that beautiful smile of yours that causes for the crinkle next to your eyes? Does she make you laugh that perfect laugh? Does she give you that feeling of warmth you get when you guys cuddle? Does she make you feel all the things that I didn't?" I asked him, tears slowly falling from my eyes. Each of them hitting the ground below our feet, one by one, and each one represents my broken heart.

It has been well over a few minutes, and he still hasn't answered me. His face has been twisted into concentration like he was debating whether to tell me what he was really thinking or not. "I-," he paused for a moment. "She makes me the happiest I have ever been."

I nodded curtly. "That's great," I smiled at him. "As long as you're happy, as long as you have someone to love you and take care of you, then I'll be happy."

He shook his head rapidly, running his hand through his hair. "What are you saying? You don't care. You don't care if I'm happy or not. You don't care if I love her or not. You never did. Drop the act, because I already know," he spat.

I took one step back, taken back by his words and how he said it. I blinked rapidly, before speaking. "What are you talking about? Don't you remember my promise to you?"
