I found the perfect song for this chapter, and you don't even know how happy that made me.

The epilogue and then we're done with the whole story!!

A lot happens in this chapter so brace yourself. One of my favorites honestly.

We had performed our last performance for the competition yesterday, and today was the day we found out if all of our hard work was enough to win. Surprisingly, the dent in our relationship didn't really affect our performance. I mean, the song was about heartbreak, so that sure helped a bunch.

"Trouble in paradise?" someone asked, and I turned around to see Taylor Swift standing right before me. She was looking right at me with a sad face, and I figured that she was indeed talking to me.

"Hey," I spoke softly. Normally, I would have still been freaking out. It didn't matter how many times I've seen her, or how many conversation we've had, the fact that I was somewhat friendly with my favorite artist will always have me acting like a fangirl.

She glanced at her right, and I followed, seeing that she was looking at Jack. "How are things with you two? I heard you guys got together," she grinned.

I offered her a weak smile. "Yea," I whispered.

"I'm taking that it's not going well?" she questioned, with an expression like she knew what I was going through. She probably did though. "What is it? Did you guys fight? Did he break up with you over a phone call? Did you mess up? Is this an on and off again relationship?" she questioned, with a tight smile. I knew she was just trying to lighten up the conversation. "Those type of relationships don't work out well."

"He lied to me," I found myself confessing to her, fiddling with my fingers, still not sure what my decision should be.

Taylor's face softened immediately, and her face was replaced to one of sorrow. She cast another glance at him, and pursed her lips. "I don't know why he did what he did, but you guys looked so in love."

"We are," I mumbled, and I wasn't even sure she caught what I said.

Her head turned back to me, and I knew that she did. Her expression contorted to one of empathy. "Sometimes people lie to you to protect you."

"It still doesn't help the feeling of betrayal."

She pulled me in a hug, and I didn't even have the strength to feel all giddy inside - which means a lot. I let my arms hang on either of my side, and she whispered to me, "Remember to do whatever feels right to you. Making yourself happy is the most important thing."

I let out a light chuckle. "I've heard that many times."

She gave me on last squeeze before pulling away, also sporting the same weak smile I had given her. "That's because it's that important. Don't forget it."

"Everyone makes it seem like making a decision is much easier than it is."

"I know it's difficult, but everything happens for a reason, so don't be afraid you'll make the wrong choice. It'll all planned out."

I gave her a small smile, a small trace of a genuine smile. "Thank you. I always knew I idolized you for a reason."

She returned my smile, before walking away. The smile on my face didn't stay for long, because right as Taylor disappeared from my line of vision, Avery appeared. The corner of my lips fell down, allowing my face to go into a neutral expression.
