This is just like her thought process. I think this is how some girl's feel in a relationship, so it's kind of like insight. I swear next chapter will be a lot better. Plus, it has some insight from other people's point of view also.

one more chapter to go + epilogue

might edit it bc not rly happy w it but get to reading!!

Elena's P.O.V.

I was going through the lyrics for the songs we were going to perform for the finals. One of them was an upbeat one, and for our last performance, we decided to go with the type of songs that the audience loved the most.

For the past few days, Jack has been giving me the time and space I needed. I was forever grateful for that. By the looks of things, it seems as though he was hurting just as much as I was, maybe even more. He always had bags under his eyes and his eyes were always bloodshot like he were on some kind of drugs.

Adam has noticed the drastic change in us, and to say that he was disappointed was an understatement. He always had us in his mind from the very first performance, and has helped us so much throughout the competition. He was had always rooted for us, and puling for us to win. It's just by now, Jack and I could care less about it. It wasn't our top priority right now.

I heard someone take the seat opposite from me. I knew instantly that it wasn't Jack, that's for sure. I would've been able to tell by his alluring scent or by the feelings my stomach got whenever I was near him.

I glanced up from the sheets of paper to find that it was Jack Johnson.

"Hey J," I spoke softly, wondering what he was he was doing here. Although, I had a clue why he was here.

"So how's it going," he asked like nothing was wrong.

I placed the papers I was holding in my hand on the table, and interlaced my hands together. "Really," I stated. "You're really asking that?"

He shrugged innocently, "I don't see what's wrong with that."

I decided not to answer his question. "You didn't tell me," I said instead.

"El-"

"You didn't even try to tell me," I stated, a bit angry at him. He was no where in the wrong as Jack was, but I couldn't help but be mad at him also. He knew all this time, and I knew he did by the guilty look on his face. Yet, he helped us rekindle our relationship, even though he knew about all the lies and mistrust that was what ruined it in the first place. He knew the type of person I was, and yet he let this happen.

"I'm sorry," he said.

"I know you are. I'm just tired of hearing that over and over again," I sighed, exasperated. "Do you even know how much it sucks to be the only one left in the dark?"

"We never meant any harm," he told me, which I saw coming.

"I was fücking clueless, Jack. You guys just thought that I would be fine without knowing, but who are you to make that type of decision for me?" I asked him, becoming bothered with everything that was going on. "You had no right."

"All I wanted is for you to be happy."

"I know and I appreciate it," I told him honestly, "but to find out the closest people to me hid the truth from me," I paused, shaking my head, "that never makes me happy. All I've ever wanted was for people to not lie to me. You know that is what hurts me the most." He looked down in shame, something I've been seeing too much of lately. I sighed as I looked at him. "I'm done holding grudges though."
