walking into the loud, rambunctious party made me itch with excitement. lionel and i gave each other a smirk before walking off in separate directions. then, the search for my friends begun. i swiftly made my way through the lively crowd and into the kitchen to get myself a drink. there i found myself walking straight into my best friend freddie!

"hello mate!" he grinned to me, and i smiled back at him before greeting. "i'm just getting a drink." he spoke, and i then asked him to grab me one too. after he got two beer cans out the fridge, the closed the door and passed me one.

"any news?" he asked me, but i shook my head before taking a swig of beer.
"not really." i shrugged.
"i have some."
"oh? go on."
he grinned "i have a date." and my eyes widened with joy.
"REALLY? WITH WHO?" i patted him encouragingly on the back, making the two of us giggle like little children.
"some guy i met at costa yesterday, he's gorgeous. want to see a pic?" and before i could respond, he was already pulling out his phone to show me what this mysterious lad looked like. although; i would've said yes anyway. then, freddie shoved his phone in the front view of my face.

my eyes travelled across this beautiful boys face. freddie was right, he was gorgeous. with his pearly white teeth and light blue eyes, sandy blonde hair and a pointy nose. although he dressed some sort of eboy-like. he wore long silver chains down his black dress shirt and long dark trousers. he was smirking directly at the camera, which made it a perfect insta post.

"you've won." i said simply, and freddie laughed at my words before putting his phone away.
"right?" he grinned proudly.
"good job, don't fuck it up on your date. when is it?"
"friday." he said, and i nodded. although his next words made me chuckle, "but don't worry, lionel is maybe a 6 compared to him."

i shook my head, "shut your mouth, lionel is much hotter. respectfully." and freddie cheekily took a sip of his beer before guiding me into the living room where the crowd was jumping round enthusiastically.

we moulded into the horde and started dancing along to the upbeat music. freddie jumped against me, and we sung along to the popular song of 'daylight' by david kushner. to some extent, i related to this song. i loved being with lionel, but i hated it at the same time knowing i was betraying my friends.

we danced the night away and soon came 1am, most people were now passed out or had found a somewhat secluded place to shag. only a few people remained on the dance floor, myself included. i was absolutely shattered but the thrill of the beer and music had compelled me too keep dancing with freddie, and now cormac, by my side. mickey and isaac were at the top of the room playing beer pong with a few other people, and my eyes swiftly scanned for lionel but i couldn't see him in the living room. i didn't let it bother me. after all, i was having fun with my friends.

a half hour passed, and we were still somehow dancing along half-heartedly. "boys..." hiccup "...i should head home." said cormac rather tiredly.
"same." freddie sighed, taking in deep breaths to try steady his headache.
and truth be told, i didn't mind going either. "alright, i'll go too then." i just wanted to sleep.

the three of us made our way to the front of the house where freddie and i said goodbye to cormac before the two of us took off down the road, as we both lived close to each other. my arm was over freddie's shoulder and his was around mine as we helped eachother tumble down the road. i considered asking my dad to pick me up, but i had only just gotten on good terms with him again i didn't want to test my luck. atleast he knew i was safe as i had been successful in answering all his messages tonight.

eventually, after probably over twenty minutes, i had seen freddie off and then made my way back to my own house. quietly, i unlocked the door and opened it before scurrying inside the warm house. i didn't bother locking the door, instead i closed it before heading for the stairs. i tried to make my footsteps as light as possible as i didn't want to wake my dad up, and then tumbled into bed. as soon as my head hit the pillow, i was out.
