"Hello"
"Hi dear, can I help you?" The old lady behind the office desk asked. She took a moment to admire the young women before her, in all her glory. Of course it was her bright ginger hair that caught her attention once she walked in, that and the fact that her curious eyes seemed as though they were sparkling emeralds. She then notice how petite the young woman before her was, she was thin but not unhealthy to which her petite body was covered with a cute forest green dress that stopped just before her knees with a darker green ribbon tied around her waist making a bow in the back, green truly suited the girl well.
"Oh, yes I am Amélie Archambeau the new girl here" Amélie spoke softly but through her thick accent to which the old lady almost swoon at.
"Oh yes! One second!" The lady then disappeared behind the desk for a moment or two before she popped back up making Amélie jump slightly. "Sorry dear, anyway this is your timetable with all your classes, teachers and teachers classroom numbers and this is your locker number and key" Amélie took everything in her hands before nodding along with what the lady was on about. "Of course please come back here if you need anything dear"
Amélie sent her a soft smile before nodding. "Of course, thank you Miss"
"Anytime dear"
Walking out of the bland grey office with her timetable in hand Amélie looked down at it with squinted eyes as the writing on it was beyond unreadable, it was miniscule and she was beyond confused as what was written on the sheet before her. The only writing she could decifer was the subjects she had chosen and the teachers of those classes but other than that there was nothing else but smeared ink was left on the page, but she couldn't bring herself to go back into the office as the sweet old lady behind the desk would only have more work to do.
Unbeknownst to where she needed to go she began walking, praying that she could find her class. Amélie felt a light tap on her shoulder. Amélie stopped walking and removed the timetable from her face to look at the person in front of her. He seemed of Asian decent, dark ruffles of hair layed on his head, with lovely chocolate eyes and a sweet smile that she had to respond with one of her own. His cheeks brighten slightly at the sight of her.
"Hello" Amélie spoke through her strong, thick accent. At the sound her silky-smooth voice the boy seemed to turn crimson in colour and began to stutter.
"H-hi! I'm Eric. Your the new girl?" She nodded. "Great! I'll be showing you around" he said with another smile on his face while his cheeks burned.
"Oh! How lovely! Thank you Eric!" She thanked him before she stuck out her hand for him to shake. "I am Amélie Archambeau, pleasure to meet you"
Eric chuckled slightly at her formality but remember that that's how everyone are all taught another language at first, always starting off very formal. "Its lovely to meet you too Amélie. Now please follow me"
Amélie nodded and followed Eric, her new friend as he showed her around the whole school, introducing her to some passing teachers and students, he showed her all of her classes and the teachers that she had while also explaining about the school and some of its history that he knew off the top of his head, as to impress her. By the end she was filled in with the basics although there was a few things that did confuse her.
"Wait, American schools only have one lunch?"
"Yup" Eric dragged out the 'p'. He turned to look at her and laughed, her brows were furrowed and her eyes were squinted in utter confusion.
"How do you survive a whole day? Without food?" She asked with a tilt of her head.
"Well it's not the whole day without food, we have a lunch break in the middle of the day and then we don't eat until we get home" Eric explained as he walked her to her first class which was Biology.
