Amélie didn't know why she agreed to Benedict's proposal. Her hands shook even though she wasn't cold, and her eyes couldn't focus even though there was no chaos around her. She may have known all of the Cullen children she was still concerned. Her whole body was consumed by another type of anxiety. What if they didn't like her? What if she would say something to offend them? What if she broke something?
Her mind was running a thousand miles per minute, and Benedict could sense that. Chuckling, he wrapped both her small and precious hands in his large beasty ones. Kissing, her knuckles on each hand were like a lifeline for Amélie. Looking up from her lap, his gaze caught hers. His eyes locked onto hers. Liquid gold mixed with emerald green, a masterpiece in many people's eyes and to each other, that was what they were...masterpieces.
"Ne vous inquiétez pas, ils vous aimeront (Do not worry, they will love you)," He whispered into her soft palms, echoing into the open air of the car.
"Je l'espère.. (I hope so..)" She whispered as she turned her head to gaze at the marvellous house that belonged to the Cullens. They had pulled up the driveway not long ago but Benedict wanted to make sure Amélie was alright and so they stayed in the car for a few more moments.
"Je le sais (I know so)" He then placed a kiss on her cheek getting her famous smile and blushing cheeks that he adored with his entire being that is him.
Making quick work of getting himself out of the car he rounded the front of it to open the door for Amélie with an awaiting hand. She giggled and placed her hand in his to get out of the car, once out she placed a sweet kiss to his cheek which would have made him blush if he still had his beating heart working.
Amélie looked up in utter disbelief of the Cullens house. It was absolutely beautiful. Majority of the house was windows, creating beautiful natural light illuminate the whole house, the rest of the house was made out of many different types of wood creating a somewhat marbled effect. It stretch high into the sky and wide on the forest floor.
Benedict led her towards his home. Pulling his house key from his pocket he unlocked the door, holding it open for Amélie to enter first. Amélie thanked him before entering. It was even more beautiful on the inside. All the natural sunlight and fresh air that both surrounded at flowed through the house was magnificent, truly very homey but modern.
"Ta maison est belle (Your house is beautiful)" Amélie spoke softly into what she thought was an empty house.
"Merci, mais tu dois remercier ma mère pour ça - (Thank you, but you have my mother to thank for that -)" but before he could continue speaking a squeal was heard. Both Amélie and Benedict turning in confusion, they were greeted by a stunning lady. "This is -"
"Esme! My name is Esme!" Esme was practically jumping with joy as she held her hands tightly to her chest as if she was having a heart attack at the sight of her beloved son with a young lady that was his one and only love. Although she removed her hands from her chest so she could hold Amélie's hand caringly. Amélie noticed her cold touch. "Its so nice to meet you! I've heard so much about you from Benedict!"
"Maman!! (Mom!!)" Benedict almost hissed at her to quiet down about that and not startle her away. Much to his thanks he heard Amélie giggle.
"Hello Mrs Cullen! I am Amélie Archambeau, it is so lovely to meet you!" Amélie greeted with a sweet smile on her face and just by that small interaction Esme was practically in love with the young girl.
"Oh please, just Esme dear" She batted her hand as if batting away the formal name that made her feel way too old.
"If you insist Esme" Amélie nodded, respecting Esme's request.
