It was now lunch. It seemed as though the start of the day had completely flown by fortunately for everyone. For the entire start of the day Amélie couldn't help the smile that stayed plastered on her face. She was incredibly proud of herself for making Rosalie and Emmet laugh. Although it was a small and very silly achievement, she was proud of it none the less. The thought of them goofing around at the start of the day made her giggle slightly to herself every time she thought about it.
After walking through the large cafeteria doors, she spotted her new friend group at the centre table of the cafeteria and made her way over. She placed herself in between Angela and Jessica, who had left an empty space for her. The boys were bickering over which music band was the best. It was between Queen, AC/DC, and The Goo Goo Dolls. All amazing bands, that's a hard decision. Angela and Jessica shook their heads at their bickering and turned themselves to greet their new group member only to notice her wide smile and decided to ask her-
"What's got you all smiles?"
"Huh?" Amélie mumbled. She looked in between the two. They had teasing smiles on their faces, making Amélie roll her eyes. "Not what you are thinking of."
"So not Benedict?" Jessica pouted at the discovered information. She knew Amélie was new here but she couldn't help but notice how the two looked at each other, like they have known each other for years and they were just waiting to be one another's arms again. She had to get them together. That was her mission.
Angela also felt a wave of disappointment wash over her. She adored how cute the two were and she also noticed the longing looks between the two but she knew that type of relationship needed to be built and that takes time and perseverance yet that wouldn't stop herself from helping them take advances into that relationship. "So why are you all smiles?"
Amélie airily chuckled. "I got to make Rosalie and Emmet laugh this morning." Silence spread over their entire table. The boys stopped their bickering and turned to her with their jaws dropped. Amélie looked around at the people at the table with a raised ginger brow. "What?"
"You got Rosalie Hale to laugh?" Mike asked as he stared at her in awe.
"No one had ever gotten her to laugh, let alone smile," Eric chimed in with a shrug of his shoulders.
"So many people call her the Ice-Queen, I think she just likes to keep to herself," Angela pointed out, to which the entire group agreed. No one had any right to judge her. She was her own person.
"I think its so cute that when Mister and Misses Cullen adopted them, they never would have thought their children would become a couple, like what happened if they never met," Jessica swooned at that type of love story.
"Or adopted by another family!" Tyler pointed out.
Amélie furrowed her brows in confusion. "They are all adopted?"
Jessica nodded. "Yeah, Rosalie and Jasper are related. That's why they share the last name, Hale, but they are all an adopted family. Rosalie is absolutely stunning but is really cold she is with Emmet, Emmet is the life of the party, super fun and very funny then there is Jasper who kinda looks like he's in pain all the time he is with Alice the pixie haired girl. Benedict and Edward are the last to be adopted and are not dating anyone."
Amélie nodded along with Angela's explanation. She had no reason to judge it was their family, and if the parents were willing to accept them like that, then she had no issues. She smiled. "That is interesting, Mister and Misses Cullen sound lovely."
"They are like father and mother slash matchmakers," Jessica joked, making the group chuckle.
"Maybe they'll adopt me," Angela joked too, making the group laugh. Eric and Tyler begged for that to happen before the group broke off and started to chat about different topics once more. The main topic was going back to music. Amélie enjoyed how her new friends didn't judge some family dynamics and didn't tease or talk down about anything different like that. She had found true friends.
