After a soundless sleep - accompanied by the pitter patter of rain - in the small white house of Charlie Swan and an easy morning that consisted of a hot shower and a strawberry yoghurt Amélie didn't expect much from the coming day. Dressed in purple jeans and a purple turtle neck with a green bandana in her hair with a matching green belt wrapped through the loops of her purple jeans along with simple green converse to tie her outfit together. Her outfit would remind someone of Daphne from Scooby Doo. She loved it. After giving Charlie a peck on the cheek and an Arrivederci (goodbye). She was off to school for her second day.

She didn't know how to express the feelings that rippled through her on her walk through the forest of Forks to Forks High School. It was always a calming feeling that spread through her the same feeling that came over her when she was talking with that handsome brunette boy yesterday... Benedict. His chocolate waves that framed his sculpted face and his golden pools of eyes sent a sense of security through her along with the fact that he stood at six foot one, towering over her five foot three frame. His presence was calming, and his French always made butterflies run through her stomach at hearing their language run off his though so beautifully like a melody. And his words that wrapped delicately around each other as if he was making a song just for her made her melt and eager to hear the next word to come out of his mouth.

No.

No, no. She shouldn't consider a man she had met less than twenty-four hours ago. Anything more than just a friend for now, she couldn't, and she wouldn't. She would still consider him a friend and continue to get close to him over time if they worked for it, Amélie knew her worth and her worth was not going to be lowered for a handsome French man that smelt like home.

Shaking those thoughts from her head as she sought view of the school. Her steps didn't falter this time as she felt all the stares of her peers on her once more, too used to it from yesterday. Sending a wave and her one of a kind soft smiles to the Cullens who beamed at her in response before continuing her way over to her new friends who were all sat in the opening of Tyler's large blue van that he was none stop talking about yesterday.

Giving them all a smile and a wave to which they melted too.

"Good morning, everyone!" Amélie spoke in a soft voice, unsure if anyone of the group disliked being so loud in the morning times.

"Morning Amélie," Angela spoke just as softly but gave the ginger a morning hug, to which Amélie reciprocated.

"Morning!" Jessica somewhat cheered but also gave Amélie a hug for it to be once again exchanged.

"Morning...," the three boys groggily voiced, Mike still half asleep with Eric falling back to sleep on his shoulder, their hair messy and their eyes drooping signaling they were not awake what so ever, this making the girls giggle. The new trio of girls gathered in their own little group away from the boys as they chatted away to each other. It wasn't long before Angela and Jessica caught on to the looks that their new friend and the book addicted Cullen were sending each other. Angela and Jessica shared a knowing look before a small giggle. Jessica bumped shoulders with Amélie, bringing her back to the present or at least away from the longing looks of Benedict Cullen.

"So?" Jessica started. Amélie raised her brow in question before Angela asked the obvious question.

"What's going on between you and Benedict?" Angela almost squealed, excited for her new best friend. It was strange to consider a person you just met a close friend but even though Amélie had only just met the group, she fit right in and felt as though she had been there all along, through everyones ups and downs been their for them through thick and thin, it was strange but it was a comforting feeling for everyone.

Amélie's eyes widened slightly. "O-oh! We only met yesterday, but he is quite sweet."

Jessica and Angela shared a knowing but teasing look right before Amélie which made her furrow her brows.

"What?"

Amélie made her way to her first class, which was Biology with Rosalie. It was a heavy morning subject she knew, but it was always one of her favourites. She did want to become a physiotherapist, and biology would be a necessity for that course. It still confused her to no end about what Angela and Jessica were talking about in the parking lot, the sharing of looks, and the winking. It was beyond confusing, but she just ignored them.

When she made it to the classroom, the door was closed, signalling the teacher wasn't there yet. Amélie stood there a moment before noticing her partner Rosalie standing outside it too only she was wrapped up in the arms of an intimidating tall and broad man who looked like a scary security guard yet instead of a scowl that you would think would be plastered on his face, he had a large goofy smile spread across his face. Amélie waved gently to Rosalie who waved back while she was still wrapped up in the man's arms, presuming he was her boyfriend she didn't want to intrude on them and instead standing alone by the door rocking on her feet, heels to toe.

Noticing Amélie's hesitance, Rosalie stepped out of her loves arms - only for him to groan in protest only to be ignored - Rosalie began her way over to her new favourite human. Her beloved following like a lost puppy. Tapping Amélie's shoulder gently, Rosalie was met by the sweet smile of the red head her brother was so enamoured with, for good reason too.

"Hello Rosalie," She spoke softly.

Rosalies smile widened. "Hello Amélie, I wanted you to meet someone, this is my boyfriend Emmet," She pointed to Emmet who stood behind her with an even larger smile on his face, he had been waiting to meet his brothers beloved to be.

Emmet was practically bouncing with joy, and Amélie could sense that she now didn't see an intimidating man. All she saw now was a lovable child with way too much sugar and caffeine in his system. In was an adorable relationship dynamic. Rosalie being a slightly cold character who no one really spoke to or enjoyed being around while her lover was a goofy child who was always chatty and a funny character, completely oppsite. Opposites do attract. She sent him one of her famous smiles, showing off her pearly whites. Emmet was stunned at the sight.

"Hello Emmet, it is lovely to meet you!" She gave him her hand to shake while her smile didn't falter.

It made Emmets heart burst with joy at the sight of his brothers human. He couldn't be happier with how amazing she turned out to be and how perfect she seemed for him. Her adorably sweet nature, her shinning emerald eyes, her bright ginger hair, and her thick French accent that seemed to send his brother into a worldwind of dirty thoughts that Edward had expressed he was having much to anyone's comfort. He honestly couldn't wait for her to join the family, she would definitely be his new favourite sibling, but for now, he would consider her to be his new favourite human.

He took her hand in his being careful not to hurt her but making sure his handshake was firm. A wicked grin spread across his face. "Hey Amélie, it's so nice to meet you, Rosalie and Benedict have been talking about you but Benedict literally hasn't shut up about you at all, but it's so nice to put a face on that name of yours."

At the sound of Benedict talking about her, her cheeks flared up a bright red, making the couple in front of her chuckle teasingly. Amélie covered her face with her hands to calm herself, making the couple laugh harder. She took in a few calming breaths before putting down her hands and looking Emmet dead in the eye before she spoke.

"Well, I have never heard Rosalie talk about you. It looks as though I am more important."

It was silent between the three of them. Amélie thought she had maybe crossed a line yhat was before the loud booming laughter of Emmet left his mouth, making many heads turn in alarm. Many jaws dropped, and eyes widened...a Cullen talking to someone? Soon, the two girls join in, too. Rosalie placed a hand over her mouth as if trying to hide her laughter while Amélie's head was thrown back, laughing her head off. It took a little bit for the three to calm down from their explosion of giggles and laughs.

Emmet chuckled before placing his hand on Amélie's head and ruffled her hair in which she complained with a small whine. "Good one, little fox."
