The rest of the day passed in a blur for Benedict. He couldn't comprehend anything that had happened for the rest of the day after he had left Amélie's warm embrace. He could remember how he held her in his arms, how warm she felt, how secure he felt with her, and how whole he felt when she was in his arms. The bond was becoming stronger. After lunch and that fiasco, every class passed in a fuzz. He didn't take a single note. He didn't take down a single piece of homework. He did nothing but stare in front of him in frustration, his pale hands clenching and unclenching in nothing but utter anger as he waited all too patiently for the day to end.

When the bell finally rang, he was up and out of the Maths classroom within record timing. The teacher called his name after him, but he ignored the man completely. Throwing his schoolbag over his shoulder aggressively. He shoved and pushed past students in the hallways to get out as fast as possible. Once outside the school building, he made a bee-line to his silver Volvo that was waiting over at the edge of the parking lot, ready to be driven anywhere. Opening the Volvo's car door - almost hitting the red Toyota that was parked next to him - he slid into the front black leather seats and tossing his schoolbag into the passenger seat. He then placed his hands on the steering wheel at ten and two and squeezed, his knuckles turning even whiter than his already pale skin. He was biting his lip aggressively between his teeth, almost breaking his rock-hard skin with the force he was using.

His thoughts were running wild with what had happened earlier in the day. He could repicture how ferociously angered Edward looked, how his strong his grip was around his beloveds arm, and how Edward had growled like an animal. But what he remembered the easiest was how afraid Amélie looked. Her quickened breath, her tear blurred emerald eyes, her erratic heartbeat. It broke a peace of him to see her so afraid, so afraid of his kind. Hearing the cracking sound of the plastic steering wheel, he loosened his grip ever so slightly, noticing his hand and fingerprints were now engraved into the plastic, although that was the least of his worries.

"I-i swear I didn't see what was going to h-happen -" Alice whispered. Her voice shook Benedict from his deep thoughts. He didn't hear her open the car door nor her or Jasper's movements to get into the car.

"Don't lie to me, Alice," Benedict snapped. He didn't raise his voice or lash out. His voice was low but firm, anyone who would hear it would instantly think 'Oh fuck'. Benedict was scary that way. Jasper let out a hiss of warning, warning not to speak to his love like that but Alice knew he didn't mean it and was just so disappointed in himself for getting his beloved hurt. Alice placed a hand on Jasper's, calming him.

"I have been watching her future very carefully Benedict, ever since she first came up in my visions, I have been very careful but -" She was cut off once more by Benedict's pure anger. He didn't mean to direct it to Alice and Jasper but they were the only ones to ever see this side of him willingly and as well as that Edward wasn't here so he could rip his head off.

"But she was still hurt."

"It was a split second decision, Benedict!" Alice raised her voice so he would finally listen. Benedict had never raised his voice, nor would he ever unless it was matters about his darling. Those matters needed to be discussed very carefully as with any mated couple one wrong move talking about their beloved partner can easily start a disastrous brawl - one that Edward will have to find out the hard way. Once Alice knew Benedict was listening and with the help of Jasper's hand in hers, she continued. "Edward made a split second decision and changed courses. My vision predicted she would meet you in the library again today. It did not predict Edward's decision until too late, I'm sorry Benedict"

The car was quiet. The mated couple in the back sat anxiously. Waiting to see what their adopted brother would do next. Benedict said nothing more to Alice and did not even acknowledge Jasper sat with her. Benedict quickly inserted the keys into the car and began reversing from the parking lot - not caring if he had or would hit a student walking by - and speeding out, breaking many road laws. The couple in the back held onto each other not afraid of crashing but afraid of what their brother would do once they made it home.
