"On s'aime comme ça, la Saine et moi~," Amélie sang. Her angelic voice echoed the unusual empty kitchen. Pouring a thick batter into a loaf tin before quickly putting it into oven before starting her clean up.
Amélie got up relatively early that morning to make Bella another vegan breakfast option as so she wouldn't feel left out. After the previous days failure of the muffins and scones, Amélie made it her mission to make something vegan that Bella would enjoy to eat. And so today Amélie was making her a simple vegan Ginger Cake, both something good for ones stomach as well as it being vegan and healthy and so that was what Amélie made this morning for Bella.
As Amélie was filling up the basin with scalding hot water to wash the equipment she used to make the Ginger Cake a knock echoed throughout the small Swan house. Amélie furrowed her brows, confused as to who was at the door, it couldn't have been Charloe as he had to leave earlier than normal that morning for reasons he wouldn't explain to Amélie no matter how much she pushed, and it couldn't have been Bella as she was still asleep upstairs, her snores were loud and obnoxious as they echoed throughout the house. Amélie turned off the tap and walked over the front door of the house. Looking out through the small peep hole of the door a wide smile spread across her face, she made quick work of opening the door and jumping into the arms of the perpetrator.
A chuckled escaped his lips. "Eh bien, bonjour à toi aussi ma chérie (Well, hello to you too my darling)"
"Bonjour mon amour (Hello my love)" Amélie greeted, burying her face into her lovers chest as her arms wrapped around his chest as his wrapped around her back, holding her close to his chest. Amélie looked up from his chest with her sweet smile on her face, Benedict melted. Leaning down Benedict placed a sweet kiss to her lips, a kiss that was reciprocated happily. Amélie pulled away. "Entrez (Come in)"
"Si vous insistez (If you insist)" Benedict smiled. Amélie took his hand and started to drag him into the house, into the kitchen. Benedict looked around at the messy kitchen, he shook his head in amusement. "Vous avez eu une matinée chargée (You have had a busy morning)"
Amélie twirled a strand of ginger hair around her finger out of embarrassment of the mess she created. "Je voulais faire le petit déjeuner pour Bella (I wanted to make breakfast for Bella)" Amélie mumbled, smiling up at him. "Et elle est végétalienne (And she is a vegan)"
Benedict raised a brow at his beloveds actions. "Elle est assez grande pour faire son propre petit-déjeuner ma chérie (She is old enough to make her own breakfast my darling)"
Amélie shuffled her feet slightly. Speaking in a small voice. "Je voulais juste faire quelque chose de gentil pour elle (I just wanted to do something nice for her)"
Benedict's heart melted further than it already was, it was practically putty, just for his beloved. Benedict placed a finger under Amélie's chin, tilting her face up to him. He pressed a love filled kiss to her lips before pulling away with a dopey smile spread across his face. "Tu es trop gentille ma chérie (You are too sweet my darling)"
A matching smile spread across Amélie's face, with a match blush that crawled up from her neck. "Merci.. (Thank you..)"
Benedict eyes shone. He nodded to the mess that lay on the counter, ready to be washed. "Voulez-vous de l'aide? (Do you want some help?)"
"Vous n'avez pas trop (You do not have to)" Amélie spoke softly, she truely didn't want Benedict to help her with a mess that she created.
"Mais je veux aussi (But I want too)" Benedict added.
Amélie smiled up at him and so brought him over to the kitchen countertop, handing him a clean tea towel to dry the equipment after she has washed it. They continued like that for a while after getting distracted multiple times, once from getting too lost in kisses they shared another time for getting into a water fight across the kitchen, the entire kitchen was covered in bubbles. It was hilarious and many laughs were shared.
