"Amélie.."

"Amélie.."

"Hm?" She hummed. Her eyes slowly fluttered open. Noticing she was leaning against a hard surface she tilted her head upward, waiting a moment for her eyes to focus. When her eyes did clear she then realised she was wrapped up in Benedict's arms. One arm around her waist while the other arm was wrapped around her arm and had a book in it, Romeo and Juliet. Amélie flushed, her cheeks turning a bright red.

Turning her head away to try and hide her embarrassment. "Pas besoin d'être gêné (No need to be embarrassed)," he placed his hand under her chin, turning her to face him. Benedict bent his neck down to inspect her face easier. Their noses almost touching, making Amélie only blush harder, it made Benedict chuckle lovingly. Looking directly into her eyes he noticed how their gem like shine was back in them. It made him almost jump with joy, they looked so dull and dead before, it didn't suit her and he missed them her gorgeous sparkle. "Tes yeux brillent à nouveau.. (Your eyes are shinning again..)"

"Ils n'était pas avant ..? (They weren't before..?)" She asked in a whisper, as she didn't need to raise it any further as they were so close.

"Non, et j'avais peur de ne plus jamais voir ces joyaux briller.. (No, and I was afraid I would never see those gems sparkle again..)" his voice was low as he spoke. Moving his eyes down from her eyes to her nose that now had that familiar colour to it unlike hours ago. "Et tu n'as pas l'air aussi pâle.. (And you don't look as pale..)"

"À quel point étais-je pâle..? (How pale was I..?)" She whispered as her gaze also began to lower.

"Comme un fantôme.. (Like a ghost..)" He muttered. His gaze finally lowered to her lips. Her plump but soft and flush lips that just begged to be kissed and bruised with his own. He could imagine all of the millions of was to kiss her and use her lips. He was so close to them. "Mais tu étais si magnifique indépendamment de... (But you looked so stunning regardless...)"

Although Amélie wanted to say more she noticed how airly he spoke and how they were both leaning in to one another. Reaching up and gently placing a hand on his cheek, silently encouraging him and giving him her consent to continue. She noticed how his lips spread up in a small grin, it made her smile, she missed his smile. Amélie began to raise her head as Benedict began to lower his, to connect their lips. Both were so enchanted by the other they didn't notice the time.

The loud booming school bell erupted throughout the school. It made the two jump in their spot out of shock and instead of connecting their lips with one another, Amélie's forehead connected with Benedict's nose.

The contact made Amélie grunt in pain and rub her forehead. "Ow"

"Je suis vraiment désolé, je ne voulais pas- (I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to-)" He paused in his sentence when Amélie jumped from his lap and instead she kneeled in front of him checking his face for any injuries such as bruising or blood. Unknown to her that Benedict's marbled skin was almost indestructible.

"Je suis vraiment désolé! C'était entièrement de ma faute ! Ce n'était pas trop douloureux... n'est-ce pas..? (Im so sorry! That was completely my fault! It wasn't too painful was it..?)" She asked quickly. Gently she pushed back his loose hair from his face and put it behind his ear, before cupping his face and looking, checking to see if any damage was done.

Benedict tried to form a sentence with his squished cheeks. "Je vais bien! Je jure! (I'm okay! I swear!)"

When Amélie was satisfied with both his response and the lack of injury she let him go. They chuckled together for the funny predicament, completely forgetting about what was about to happen moments ago. Then it dawned on them. They were late for class. Scrambling to get their things off the library floor they began their swift exit out of the library. Practically running to their classrooms, sliding and slipping on the school floors to make it their. Amélie's English classroom was first so as she was about to make it to the door Benedict grabbed her wrist in a light grip. She turned to him with a raised eyebrow.
