Chapter 120

~Lucy's Pov:~{3rd Person}
Lucy sat in the chair in Anne's room.

She was still fascinated with Finch laying on her lap.

He had his eyes closed and looked focused. A dark purple aura radiated around him.

This feeling I sense around him is so powerful, it's making me feel fear.. But how? Nothing is around that's scaring me. Is it the ability?
She thought as she laid her elbow on the table beside her and let her cheek rest on her palm.

What does L/n's ability even do?

"Hm.." She kept her eyes on Finch.

Suddenly, the sound of laughing was in the room.

Lucy's eyes widened as she sat up completely, "What the?!"

She looked down and realized the laughing noise was coming from Finch.

But he wasn't the one laughing.. Those voices don't even sound like his.
Her eyes widened more in fear.

Who are they?!

"H-hello?" Lucy mumbled nervously.

The laughing suddenly stopped.

She looked down at Finch, terrified.

There was a long silence.

Lucy was trembling as she looked down at Finch. Every second she'd feel more scared than before.

Something was beside her ear, "Let's play a game!"

She was so caught by surprise, she screamed and quickly stood up with Finch in her arms.

Finch's eyes opened, stopping the dark aura from around him, "GAH!"

"W-who was that?!" Lucy quickly looked around her.

Faint laughing could be heard now.

"Who was what?" Finch looked at Lucy, a bit annoyed.

"That laughing! There are more than one! And someone said something in my ear!"

Finch blinked twice in confusion. Then sighed, "Oh.. Great. I'm not surprised."

"With what?" Lucy mumbled.

"The entities in Y/n's ability. Since she isn't around and I'm too focused with connecting with her that no one is watching them, they're messing with you. They love to scare people.. a lot. I kept telling them to behave while I was focused, yet they didn't listen."

"I thought those creatures you told me about would be in some mind dimension?!"

"Yeah. They're giving you hallucinations. Without a mind keeping them controlled, and the only mind that can keep them controlled is Y/n. They have the capacity of messing with your mind."

"Do they ever do this to
L/n?"

"What? No, they're terrified of her and they respect her. If they pulled off something on her, she can do horrifying things to them without lifting a finger. Besides, they can't if they're finally put in control inside her mind. Right now, they're just bored and sad souls waiting for their master to return."

"Oh.." Lucy mumbled.

"Keep doing this, and I'll make Y/n turn one of you into a rug."

The laughing quickly ended.

Finch sighed, "Can we get back to the connection now?"

Lucy sat back down in the chair.

She looked down at him getting comfortable on her lap again.

"Hey, Finch?"

"Yeah?"

"I heard L/n had a lover of some sort.. I don't think anyone has mentioned telling him the news.. The Agency isn't really telling anyone."

"There's a good reason behind that." He stretched his wings.

"Why?"

He looked up at her, "We'll leave this lover she has as anonymous. If this anonymous lover she has figures out she's alive, he'll go on complete psycho mode until he finds her and gets her somewhere safe. Ranpo deduced that and I assumed that. This is the best choice for now."

"Okay. Where do you think
L/n is now? Somewhere safe?"

"I have no clue, but whatever it is.. I don't think it's safe."
