Chapter 118

~Still In No One's Pov:~
Atsushi stood there wide eyed as he looked at the 4 people in front of him. Yosano, Kunikida, Ranpo, and Katai.

They were in Anne's room.

"You're...alive.." He mumbled.

Ranpo laid a hand on Kunikida's shoulder, "Kunikida. Let him?"

"Huh?" He looked at Ranpo.

Atsushi ran over to Kunikida, embracing him. Kunikida was struggling as Atsushi hugged him tight.

"My, my. It seems they're rejoicing." Lucy said and smiled, "Well it's no wonder. He's been separated from the Agency and bracing himself on his own." She looked at Kyouka, "You've been doing your best too. Wouldn't you like to go hug him?"

"I'm controlling myself." She told Lucy.

"Ah, I see."

Atsushi's eyes widened whenever he realized something, "Ku-kunikida. Your hands! Sorry, I, um.. didn't know.."

"Don't worry. Yosano is here." Kunikida told him.

"This is what it's like when the Agency's all together." Ranpo smiled.

"Right." Kunikida agreed, "Even if we're wounded, we have Yosano. Even if we're taken by the enemy, we have Ranpo. Between the five of us, there's nothing we can't do. The Detective Agency, as an organization, draws that strength out of us."

"Actually." Ranpo smirked, "Make that 6."

"Huh?" Everyone looked at him.

He snapped his fingers and a fast wind blew. He held his hat so it wouldn't fly off his head.

Finch landed on top of Ranpo's hat, "Hi."

"Finch!" Their eyes widened.

"You're alive?!" Atsushi's eyes were still wide, "B-but how.. L/n.."

"I have no clue where she could be right now." Finch told him, "But if I healed and still exist that can only mean one thing."

"She's alive." Ranpo was still smirking, "I'll have someone get Finch as much Cheetos as possible for him to try to connect with L/n's mind. Right now, L/n is probably at a very far distance from us, so Finch can't sense a single emotion from her."

"I usually can only read her mind if she puts me away, but if I concentrate hard enough and with some time, I'll be able to communicate with her through the mind."

"It-it's a relief that she's still alive.." Atsushi mumbled.

Kunikida looked at him, "Atsushi?"

His eyes were watering, "I blamed myself for not being able to save her.. But she's okay."

Ranpo smiled, "Like Kunikida said before, we're better together. The enemy knew that. That's why they had to cause an incident to get us divided no matter what."

"But we won't move like they expect us to anymore, right?" Atsushi smiled as well.

Ranpo put his hand to his chin, "Although, it's not flawless yet.. Kunikida. You guys go search for Kenji and Tanizaki. With that, the Agency will be the closest it can to together."

"Understood. What about you, Ranpo?"

"Isn't it obvious? I'll have the most interesting part of the job. I've waited long enough to contact 'him'."

~Time Skip~
Lucy was sitting on a chair in Anne's room as Finch laid on her lap. He ate a Cheeto in her hand.

"How long do you think the connection will take?" Lucy asked.

"I don't know either." He swallowed the Cheeto, "But I know no matter how long it takes, it'll be worth it."

"What makes you say that?"

Finch looked up at Lucy with a serious expression, "I have a lot to tell her."
