Chapter 40

I was in the infirmary with Yosano. Finch was on my shoulder.

"What's this do?" Finch flew over to a chainsaw and landed beside it.

"I use that on my patients when I give them the special treatment." She smirked.

"Ooo! Did you get a new clever?" Finch looked at the large clever in the corner.

"I used that one on Y/n the other day." She looked at me.

"I'll never look at clevers the same again.." I mumbled.

"Well, maybe next time I can finally use the chainsaw on you." Yosano looked at her chainsaw. "I'm sure you'd enjoy it."

"Maybe.." I said nervously.

"I think the last time I used the chainsaw was on Atsushi. He was so loud." She sighed. "You on the other hand were just cussing at me when I used the clever." She smirked at me.

"It hurt.."

"Good thing I can just heal myself." Finch bragged.

"Well, little bird. I can always try to use a scalpel on you-"

"Okay, I'm hungry. Y/n, let's go." Finch flew out of the room quickly.

I chuckled, "Okay. I'll see you later, Akiko." I walked out.

~Time Skip~
I walked inside the Agency to see Kunikida strangling Dazai.

"And.. I'm going back in the bag." Finch flew into my satchel purse.

I walked over to my desk and set my bag down. "What'd you get caught for now?" I looked at Dazai.

"THIS LOWLIFE BANDAGED MORON KICKED A GUY OUT OF HERE AND SAID I WAS THE ONE WHO TOLD HIM TO!" Kunikida shouted.

"I-It was a joke!" Dazai choked out.

"Who?" I asked.

"Someone who wears very fancy clothes." Kenji was putting a seed in a pot. "Must be a rich city person."

"Do you guys know who he is?" Atsushi walked over to us with Kyouka beside him.

Kunikida stopped strangling Dazai and Dazai pulled away, "Some guy named Elsa Hinida."

"Elsa?" I mumbled. "Ezra Hinode?"

"Oh, yeah! That name!" Dazai looked at me.

"What's Hinode doing here?" I mumbled while Finch landed on my desk. I began walking towards the door.

"Do you know him, L/n?" I heard Atsushi ask.

"Did he already leave?" I stopped and looked at Kunikida.

"No. The rich guy is still here!" Dazai exclaimed.

I walked over to the door and opened it. Hinode was standing there.

"Oh, Hinode." I said, "Sorry about my dumb co-worker. Come in."

Hinode walked inside the Agency, "No, that's alright, L/n."

"What are you doing here?" I looked at him.

"I have a meeting with your boss. He ordered some things. Where can I find him?"

"I'll lead you to his office." I said.

I saw L/n and the man walk inside the President's office.

"Wow. Does L/n know everyone?" Kunikida mumbled.

"Maybe the rich ones." Dazai looked at Kunikida.

Ranpo was holding his glasses to his face. He had a look of discomfort.
