Chapter 110

Mushitaro tossed something at us.

I caught it and looked at what he tossed.

A stack of money?

He grabbed one as well and began walking. We quickly followed him.

"Walk with pride in your step!" Mushitaro told us as he waved his money back and forth.

Atsushi and Kyouka were balancing it on their heads. I waved mine like Mushitaro was.

"Impressed? If we walk with stolen goods and use my special ability to erase evidence of crime, we magically vanish from any kind of surveillance video that's recording us."

"That's cool." Atsushi said.

Wow. All I can really remember about Mushitaro is his ability and name. Is that all I'm supposed to know?

Suddenly, Atsushi pushed Mushitaro, causing me to be pushed as well into another hallway.

I landed on my back.

"Kyouka, hide!" Atsushi quickly grabbed her hand and ran over to us.

Mushitaro was in front of me with his face on the ground.

I quickly got up. I grabbed Mushitaro by the back of his coat and made him stand up.

What's going on?

I heard footsteps.

"The targets we're looking for are in this area." I heard Ango say, "There are Gifted who can dismantle walls and ceilings, as well as making your conscience in another dimension. Secure the perimeter with caution."

Atsushi was looking behind the wall covering us, "It's Ango Sakaguchi."

"How? My ability is perfect at hiding us!" Mushitaro shout whispered.

"Well, this is not good.." Kyouka said, "The hallway ahead is a dead end filled with vaults. There's nowhere to run."

"Wait, w-what if we hide in one of the vaults?" Atsushi looked at her.

"Too dangerous." She looked back at him, "We'd be trapped like rats."

I heard footsteps getting closer to us.

"Goddamnit.." I mumbled.

"They're coming." Atsushi whispered.

Shit. Shit. Shit! We can't get caught now! It'd ruin everything!

"You three." Mushitaro said.

"Huh?" I looked at him as Atsushi and Kyouka said, "Hm?"

"Come with me." He told us.

~No One's Pov:~
Ango was leaning against the wall as he motioned for one of the soldiers to look in the hallway.

A figure went inside the very last vault.

"Targets acquired!" The soldier shouted, "They're escaping into a vault!"

The vault door slammed shut.

"Neutralize the enemy!" Ango looked at the other soldiers, "Gifted Combat Squad, advance!"

The soldiers began moving forward.

"Explosives planted. Breach charges set... Detonate!"

They detonated the vault door. Smoke filled the room.

"Breach!" A soldier said as he and two others ran inside the room with their guns pointed.

They all gasped quietly.
