Guess who didn't have a good night.
Right, it's our dear Screenwriter Park.
How do you expect someone to sleep after this, when he is fully conscious and his mind like a broken recorder only repeats this exact moment?
If he didn't pull himself together, he would still imagine that feeling, this very soft and delicate feeling.
He was lying awake for half of the night until he decided to read himself to sleep. It wasn't smart to try to distract himself from his little prince by reading 'The Little Prince' but he couldn't help it.
Only by seeing the name pop up again and again, his heart felt weirdly at ease but was at the same time picking up its pace like crazy. He was sick. Jay had known from the start that he would get sick from all of this here.
Yang Jungwon made him like that and most likely didn't even plan to take on responsibility for the damage.
Jay already knew exactly how the morning would go. He ran a hand through his dishevelled hair in distress. Recalling how drunk Jungwon must have been to act like that, he most likely wouldn't remember a thing. Which meant Jay was all on his own.
He had messed up everything by being himself. The storyline didn't even exist anymore because of that. Maybe he would just give up. Maybe death was still an option.
Nodding to himself, he decided to just follow whatever Jungwon would do. If he forgot, Jay wouldn't mention it. If he knew, Jay would make him take on responsibility for what he had done.
Ergo, it was all on Jungwon now.
Jay's future, life, and beating heart were depending fully on Jungwon now.
The next morning, Jay waited in the dining hall for him.
As soon as Jungwon opened the door and caught the back of Jay's figure, he instinctively tried to close it again as inconspicuously as possible like he had never been here.
Sadly, Jay wasn't having it to play along any further in his hide and seek game due to the lack of sleep.
"Yang Jungwon."
Jungwon instantly froze on his place.
"Come here."
For some reason, he was scared. While rethinking his life decisions and why, out of all days, he had to be caught today, the crown prince silently did as he was told.
As soon as he looked into Jay's eyes, it was over, and eye contact instantly broke. He couldn't look into his eyes, not even one second. He just wanted to bury himself six feet under the ground at this point.
"Here." Jay pushed a tray with food towards him. "Sunghoon made this for me when I had a hangover."
Jungwon found himself playing with the ring on his finger. Maybe if he just didn't mention to be fully aware of what his drunk and shameless ass did, he could pull the "I-don't-remember-so-please-don't-as-well" card.
