On her way to work Madelyn drive pass a crash, she decides to park her car and gets out

"I'm fine. There was a woman on a bicycle. I think I hit her. I heard my tire blow"

Madelyn runs round to the other side of the car and sees a young woman trapped underneath it

"Hurry! Someone call 9-1-1"

"I'll do it. I'll call. Meredith"

"She's being crushed under there"

"Does anybody know C.P.R. ?"

Madelyn bends down and speaks to the woman "Can you hear me? I'm a doctor. What's your name?"

"Melissa" she struggles to get out "I-I can't br-breathe"

"Okay, Melissa, we're gonna get you outta here. Okay? I'm a doctor. She can't breathe. We gotta get this car off of her." Madelyn says to the crowd of people watching

"I'm on with 9-1-1 and they say don't move her. The paramedics are on the way"

"She can't breathe! She will die before they get here" Madelyn says

"Look, I don't wanna be responsible if she's paralysed"

"Don't you see she's dying under there? Do you wanna be responsible for that?! I need someone to help me move this car. Is anybody gonna help me?! Is anybody gonna help me?!"

A man shoes forward "Come on, guys. We got this. All right. Ready, guys. Okay, everyone on three. We got this, okay? Here we go. One, two, three. Come on!"

"Just about. Just a little higher"

"Okay, let me help you. Okay, easy, easy"

"She's almost there! Okay! She's out!"

"Oh, she's ... she's blue" Madelyn says "Come on, damn it. Breathe. Come on. Breathe. Breathe. Breathe, damn it" the patient lets out a breath "Oh" she sighs in relief "She's alive. She's alive. She's alive"

Madelyn quickly rushes into the ER "Wilson, I've got cyclist versus auto. Multiple crush injuries. I need you to call upstairs. Tell them we need a trauma O.R. open, and get Ross. He's on my service. You" she says pointing to Stephanie "I need you to go get my car. It's at the intersection of 4th" she tosses her keys at the intern who does as she's told

Bailey gives Madelyn a look as she walks pass "Shepherd, you know you just stole my intern?"

"Sorry" she apologies nonchalantly continuing on her way

"There's a lot of blood" Jo replies "Suction keeps clogging up"
