As Madelyn is on her way to meet April for their OB appointment she's approached by Bailey "Shepherd" the woman says

"Mm?" the brunette hums not really paying attention to the shorter woman

"I gave a patient a stem-cell transplant using deactivated H.I.V. as a viral vector in order to cure his SCID. I did so against his parents' wishes" Bailey confesses

Madelyn process the information before saying "Whoa. Did it work?" she asks curiously

Bailey smiles "Damn right, it did"

Madelyn nods "Up top! Hey!" she says high fiving Bailey before continuing on her way

Madelyn and April leave the OB/GYN's office with a picture of their baby

"Ooh, look at this cute, little fetus. I want to send this to my mom" April says excitedly

"Of course, right after the first trimester... Two more weeks" Madelyn replies

April groans "Come on, that's so far"

"Look, if we start telling people, we got to tell my mom. She already tried to torpedo our relationship once over a hypothetical child. What do you think she's gonna do with a real one?" Madelyn says

"Oh. Hey, guys" Callie says drawing the attention of April and Madelyn

Madelyn wraps an arm around April pulling the redhead close "Hey"

April hides the picture behind her back "Hi! Hey! Just, uh, having a checkup with old ob-gyn, making sure all the parts are... in order"

Madelyn nods "Yeah"

Callie frowns curiously "Both of you?"

Before they can answer a nurse says "Callie Torres?"

"Hi. Yes. That's me" Callie says before turning to the couple as saying "Uh, I think I can handle this on my own"

"That was terrible!" April exclaims once Callie is out of sight

"Making sure all the pets are in order" Madelyn says mocking Aprils choice of words

"Shut up" April says playfully pushing the brunette

"I still can't believe Owen is making you pick your replacement" Madelyn says to Cristina

Cristina nods "Mm. I'm interviewing Dr. Russell's replacement, not mine... Which I volunteered to do, by the way"

Meredith sighs "It's a punishment. It's like making you clean the apartment you're vacating"

Cristina shakes her head "No, Owen knows this is the right move for me. He's been nothing but supportive"
