"How long does it take to wash one, like 10 seconds?" April says following Madelyn

Madelyn rolls her eyes "Look, I don't like a filthy kitchen, either. Dirty cereal bowls in the sink aren't gonna exactly tip the scales" she says stopping at the nurses station

"Well, you could at least put the bowls in the sink" April scolds

"Yeah, yeah" Madelyn dismisses, when she doesn't get a response she looks up at the redhead who's staring into the distance "Okay, fine i'll do the dishes geez"

"Do I know that woman?" April asks

"Huh?" Madelyn questions

"The one that's staring at us, well you"

Madelyn turns around following Aprils eye-line "Shit" Madelyn says turning around quickly "No, no, no" she mumbles

"What?" April questions

"My mother" Madelyn mutters

"Your mother- Oh god, Oh god she looks pissed. Did you tell her?" April asks

"No" Madelyn replies

"Well she looks like she knows" April exclaims "Who did you tell?"

"Uhhh, Derek, Amelia and Lizzie...damn it Lizzie" Madelyn groans "I don't talk to my mom, only on her birthday and mother's day and christmas"

"Well, She's walking over" April whispers

"Please lord" Madelyn begs

"Madelyn Rose Shepherd" Carolyn says

Madelyn puts on a fake smile and turns around "Hi mom" she says

"So... I understand congratulations are in order" Carolyn says before diverging her attention to April "You must be April" she says

April smiles sweetly "Yea-yes, it's a pleasure" she says holding out her hand only to be ignored

After some convincing Madelyn managed to get her mom into a quiet room so they could have a proper conversation

"I'm sure it was a shock. I mean, I was shocked. I can't even imagine what you must be feeling. Actually, I can. I can imagine it because I..." April rambles

Madelyn sighs "You know what? April , don't. She doesn't care. Why are you here mom?"

"Because my daughter got married without telling me!" Carolyn yells

"Oh come on, you've never been involved in my life, why start now?" Madelyn asks

"Don't do that" Carolyn says "Don't make me out to be the villain, i'm here and i'm trying. And forgive me if i'm interested in who my daughter has decided to spend the rest of her life with. I mean god knows what she's after" Carolyn directs towards April
