Ben clears his throat as he stands in front of his guests "Could I have everyone's attention, please? Um, my beautiful wife-to-be has been pulled into an emergency surgery, So things are gonna be delayed for a little while. Those of you who are doctors will understand. And those who aren't, uh... Well, they're setting up the buffet, the bar's open in the back. Drink, eat, and just as soon as we're able, we'll have a little wedding"

Everyone starts their conversations again, Callie turns to Madelyn, Mer and Arizona "That poor handsome fool. Bailey's probably hopped a boxcar to Mexico by now. I am the worst maid of honor ever"

Arizona frowns "Who made you maid of honor?"

"I called it. And then I tanked it. Uh, I'm... I'm gonna go to the hospital"

"Right now?" Madelyn questions

"I'll go" Mer says "I'm the general surgeon. Maybe I can tag her out of surgery. Put this in water till I get back" she says handing Callie her bouquet

"I've got a date waiting for me" Madelyn says dismissing herself to find Lucy

"Hi" Madelyn says softly placing a gentle hand on Lucy's back as the blonde is having a conversation with two of the hospitals nurses "You don't mind if I steal her do
you?" she directs to the two women who say that's fine and leave Madelyn and Lucy alone "Shall we grab a drink?" she asks the blonde

"We shall" she replies following Madelyn to the bar

They spend a decent amount of time together drinking and talking and actually getting to know each other which they hadn't had time to do, Madelyn was on call tonight so once she had filled herself up on soft drinks she turns to Lucy and says "Come on" as she reaches out her hand "Let's introduce you to some of my friends"

Hand in hand they approach a table where April, Alex, and Jackson are eating while Shane rambles on about some article "According to the article, the doctors discovered that her hair follicles Had actually been growing nails instead of hair. Like fingernails"

"Cool story, bro" Alex says

"Can I get anybody a coffee?" Madelyn overhears Shane ask the others as he gets up and dismisses himself, they all politely decline

"It's like having dinner with "Ripley's believe it or not! " April says not yet noticing Madelyn

"So you're starting to regret this whole "Let's bring dates" Idea?" Madelyn says making April quickly look up at her

"No. No. I love "Ripley's believe it or not! "

Madelyn gestures to Lucy "This is Lucy, my date. Don't worry she's much more sophisticated than Shane"

Alex and Jackson both greet the blonde kindly and start a conversation with her while April just glares at her as the two take a seat
