"Fontanilla."

"Present po." Ivan raised his hand, his arm straight when Sir Ken called his name. "I'm here."

I rolled my eyes. Napaka OA ng gago. Kainis lang.

Nang ibaba niya ang ang kamay ay humarap ito sa akin, nakangisi at tinataas-baba pa ang mga kilay. "Kinabahan ka ba na 'di ako papasok?"

Oo, kinabahan ako pero never kong sasabihin sa kanya 'yun. Kaninang umaga palang, sobrang aga kong pumasok. I'm so restless I got up so early. My usual one lap around the village turned to three before I realized it. Kung 'di lang ako tinawagan ni Dad baka tumatakbo pa rin ako.

I ignored his remark. "Nag-review ka ba? Nag-quiz ka nga zero ka naman."

Prente itong umupo sa upuan niya sa tabi ko. "The deal is I take the quiz."

My mouth fell wide open, my eyes wide on him. "Oh my god..." I massaged my temple.

"Kidding." He laughed. "Nagbasa ako ng notes mo. Baka umiyak ka eh if I get a zero."

My gaze turned into a glare. I kicked him under the desks pero hindi man lang niya iyon dinaing at nagpatuloy lang sa pagtawa nang mahina.

Sir Ken gave out the tests. Sa mga naunang row, pinapasa niya yung test papers. Pagdating sa row namin, hindi umabot sa amin sa likod. Sa amin lang ni Ivan hindi umabot. He specifically went to our desk and gave us the test. He gave me smile when he placed the test paper on my desk. When he gave Ivan his, a reminder came with it.

"Read everything very carefully, Fontanilla," Sir told him, tapping his index finger on Ivan's test paper.

I saw Ivan's deadly glare. Sir ignored him and went on his way back to the teacher's desk in front of the class. He didn't tell the whole class that reminder. He just specifically wants to tell Ivan.

I glanced at Ivan, assessing him. He's already on his test paper, writing his name so nag-umpisa na rin ako. I'm not his parent to worry about him.

I answer tests fast so when I tell you I finished that quiz in less than fifteen minutes, believe me. I can memorize a lot of things so as much as possible, I answer everything fast so I don't forget anything. Lahat naman ng nasa test ay nabasa ko. So after checking my answers, I stood up and gave Sir my answer sheet before going back to my seat.

Hindi lang ako ang nakatapos nang mabilis. Few minutes later, may sumunod na sa akin magpasa. The quiz is set for the whole duration of our class so I have lots of time to spare. With nothing to do, I took my book out of my bag, continuing on the chapter I left off.

I was in the middle of a fighting scene nang mag-umpisang umingay ang room. Halos lahat ay tapos na kaya marami na ang nag-uusap. Nailing ako at binalik ang tingin sa binabasa ko. While turning the page, Ivan caught my eyes. He's still answering his quiz with face scrunched in an unpleasant expression. I bet naiingayan siya.
