Malawak ang ngiti ko nang pumasok ako sa office ni coach. Kasunod ko lang si Scarlet na naiwang nakatayo malapit sa pinto habang ako ay lumapit sa lamesa ni coach. "Hi. Nice to see you again, coach."

"This is not super nice."

"Galit ka pa rin sa'kin?" I asked, my smile turning cheeky.

He clicked his tongue. "So, I'm not that happy to announce to you na the dean isn't suspending you on the team anymore. He gave me an approval saying 'you've been a good girl'."

I held my chin up with confidence. "Took you long enough."

I saw his eyes involuntarily twitches. "Luigi still doesn't want you back so umayos ka, Valeria."

Coach Luigi is the fencing team coach. He hates me too.

"So, why do you want me back?" I ignored his warning.

He sighed, standing up from his swivel chair. "As much as I hate to admit it, we need better players."

"Coach, I'm here," Scarlet's voice from behind me said.

Coach Tommy looked at her for a second, not saying anything. Binalik niya ang tingin sa akin. "Your cousin is dominating the games. Mukhang motivated."

I shrugged. Violet is secretive pero may kinalaman siguro 'yung motivation niya kay Kate. "Siguro nga."

"And the dean is expecting good results. So sana hindi ko pagsisihan na ibalik ka sa team."

"You won't. When's practice?"

"Same as before. Skip for today. I'm just gonna process your presence."

I laugh came out of my throat. "Okay."

Pagkalabas ko sa office ni coach ay kinuha ko ang phone ko. I texted the GC with my friends.

I'm back on the tennis team.

I stood there watching as my message got buried on the reactions of my friends. Syempre, with how OA Ethan is, kalahati ng messages ay sa kanya.

Smiling to myself, binulsa ko ulit ang phone ko at naglakad na palabas. Maya maya lang dadating na si Dad para sunduin ako.

Kalalabas ko lang ng tennis court premises when someone called me out as I was walking through the hall of the main building.
