Jack POV:

"Well, after that I worked on a squid boat in Monerey, then I went down to Los Angeles started doing portraits at a pier in santa Monica for ten cents apiece." I explained, refreshing my memories. Rose smiled at me as I talked. I loved talking to her about my life and listening to hers. "Why can't I be like you, Jack? Just head out for the horizon whenever i feel like it. Say we'll go there some time, to that pier. Even if we only ever just talk about it" she began, getting excited for a moment that I hoped would happen. I cut her off.

"Nah, we'll do it. We'll drink cheap beer, we'll ride on the rollercoaster till we throw up and we'll even ride horses on the beach, right in the turf. But you gotta do it like a real cowboy, none of that side saddle stuff," I said. Just by looking at her expression, I could tell the thought of it sounded terrifying to her. "You mean... one leg on each side? Can you show me?" I smiled, knowing I would be honoured to. "Sure, if you like."

Rose was quiet for a second before replying with, "teach me to ride like a man." Putting on a southern accent, I said, "And chew tobacco like a man." This made her laugh before she copied my accent. "And spit like a man!" She added, still laughing like crazy. "What, they didn't teach you that in finishing school?" I teased. "Well, come on I'll show you." I grabbed her hand and led her to an open air area of the deck as she protested.

I hocked up some spit and then spat it out. "Ew, that's disgusting!" She complained, making fake wretching noises. "Now you go," I said. I watched as she spit normally off the side of the boat. "That was pitiful, cmon, you really gotta hock it back, get some leverage to it. Use your body, arch your neck," I thought about going up behind her to help her get her body arched correctly but erased the thought as it may be seen as inappropriate. She spat out and it went pretty far. "Yeah, that was better but you gotta work on it, watch me"

I hocked up some spit but before I could spit it out she tapped me on the shoulder multiple times. I turned around to see three women standing there, one with red curly hair and jade gren eyes like Rose's. "Mother!" She surprisingly said as she stood infront of me. I disgustingly and embarrassingly swallowed the spit back down. "May I introduce Jack Dawson?" Her mother stared at me with a disgusted look as I wiped spit off of my chin. "Charmed, I'm sure" she said sarcastically as I awkwardly stood there while Rose explaied how her and I met.

As she did so, I couldn't help but notice her mother glared at me as if I was some sort of.. insect. A dangerous insect that must be squashed quickly. My thoughts were interrupted when I heard the ringing of a loud bell. One of the women who later introduced herself to me as 'Molly' said, "Why do they insist on announcing dinner like a damn cavalry charge?" Rose laughed and walked away with her mother, saying she would see me at dinner. I gave her a little wave.

"Uh son? Do you have the slightest comprehension of what you're doing?" Molly asked me. I shrugged before shaking my head. "Well you're about to go into the snakepit. What are you planning to wear?" She asked me. I didn't have much to wear so I just figured I would wear the clothes I already had on. I gesturedto my current outfit and she laughed. "I figured. Come on, come with me, I'll get you all dolled up"

I looked at my reflection in Mollys mirror. I looked like a new person. She let me borrow her son's suit and I had my hair combed back after gel had been applied to it. I was ready to go to dinner with Rose on the outside... inside, I shook like a leaf
