Chapter 4: Dreams and Nightmares

You open your eyes to darkness, aimlessly floating , seemingly a part of it, that is until you felt yourself glow. Many glowing orbs began to illuminate around you, some green, others blue, and even some gold. There where so many colors, it looked like a light show. You looked down at your arms, your skin had turned a dark gray color and your tattoos glowed white. Somehow you knew your body was sleeping, yet your mind was wide awake. You turned and listened to all the sounds you realized you were hearing. There was laughter, screaming, crying, talking, yelling. You could hear them all, yet they still seemed so quiet. Like if they go any louder, they would surely deafen you.

When you finally fell your feet hit the ground the sound of a barking growl filled your ears. You turned to see a dog sitting behind you, but upon turning fulling, you realize that it was actually a wolf. It had dark gray fur, nearly black, emerald green eyes, and a white streak of fur that ran through the top of its head to the tip of its tail, in a way it resembled you. It started to walk away but turned around, barking for you to follow it. You hesitantly do, not having any idea what to do anyways. 

You walked with the pup for a while before you got to a blue orb. It seemed familiar to you, like this orb was a person itself. The little pup ran into it, making a bark-like noise as you stepped closer. You touch the orb and your hand passed right through it, you retreat back and look around you. Looking back at the orb you take a deep breath and with newfound determination you run through.

Silence...

Then light,

You come out the other side and start rolling down a flowery hill. You rolled until you could finally stop yourself. Getting up with a groan you dust yourself off, your skin and tattoos were back to normal and you were wearing a dress that stopped at your knees. The dress was a beautiful sky blue with purple Clematis at the end of it. You look around, and your mouth opened in awe. The sky was a brilliant bright blue, as white fluffy cloud drifting away in the cool wind. The grass was a vibrant green and the flowers seemed to glow as they bloomed so many different colors. From red to white, pink to gold, even blue to purple, they stood tall and the colorful pestles flowed with the wind.

You begin to hear laughter, child laughter, and the sound of the pup barking a little ways away. You pin point to sound to the top of the hill and begin to walk up,  the sound drawing you closer. You reached the top and looked over, you saw the pup playing with at 5 children, three boys and two girls, all between the ages of 5 to 10. The children laughed and giggled, but someone else's laughter caught your attention as well. You look over to see a familiar looking woman, she was also wearing a sun kissed yellow dress with light pink Lilies littering the bottom. Her silvery gray hair hair was neatly braded as it dipped down to the middle of her back. 

She was laughing as she watched the children and wolf play. The children desperately trying to pet the wolf as it swiftly avoided their every moves in a playful manner. You look at the stranger as they turn slightly in your direction, they're face looked relaxed as they're blue eyes squinted slightly. Wait. You recognized that face. Vallery?!

You rushed over and tapped Vallery on the shoulder, she turned, her eyes widened upon seeing you.

"Y/N, funny seeing you here." She said, astonishment and surprise clear in her voice.
