You wake up and start punching, kicking, and thrashing about. It took you a moment to see that you were in no danger as you sat up and tried to still your violent shaking and rapid breathing. Sweat dripped off of you as you rolled out of bed, making sure to lean on it for support in fear of falling. You look at the clock on the wall, it was 5am. You pressed your palms to your eyes and let out a small huff. You walk over to your desk as you spot your jacket, a note folded neatly on top of it. You open it and read its context

'Don't be late.' was all it said

The Lady's subtle reminder you that you still had to see her at 10.

You can feel your cheeks turn red at the thought of Lady Dimitrescu. The way her raven black hair curled, how her pail blue skin danced in the light, her crimson red lips-

You quickly shake your head before your mind could go any farther. You couldn't be simping for The Lady of the castle, not when your life was constantly on the line. You put your jacket on and you walk out of your room. The castle was silent for a change, no one was awake at this hour, it was just you and your thoughts. You wander over to the library, whatever had happened in your dreams didn't seem normal, and you needed more information. After quietly making it to the library you quickly check the area, luckily, no one was there.

'Perfect.' you think as you start to search for a book about what you had just experienced.

After what seemed like a few minutes, you couldn't find a book about the topic no matter what section you searched. The books you did find however either talked about witches or had torn and missing pages.

Seeing as there was nothing of use you leave the library wander into the Hall of Four. You passed a door and you swear you could hear someone humming. You cautiously open the door to see a rather large, well dressed man. He was sitting at the far back, leaning on a wall, smoking a cigar in his rather large pudgy hands. His nice tailored suit strained to stay together as he shifted slightly. For some unknown reason you thought you knew this man, The Duke, if you remembered right. But how did you know him was the real question.

"Sorry." You say, slightly embarrassed, "I just heard humming and thought to investigate."

"Oh you are quite alright. I was just starting to get rather lonely."

"You're The Duke, right?

"Ahh yes. And you must be Y/N, correct? What brings you here to my shop?"

"I'm looking for some information about hopping into dreams?"

"It seems like you have the ability to Dream Walk."

"What's that?"

"It's where you can enter other people's dreams. Technically anyone can do it, but it takes years to master, but it seems that you're one of the few people who is born with this gift."

You nod and peek at the clock. It was nearly 7, time to work. With a sigh you tell The Duke that you needed to leave.

"Alright Y/N, but remember, you're always welcome here." He says before you leave

~Time Skip~

"Almost 10." you mutter to yourself before getting up from the now clean floor.

"What's so important about 10?" K ask.

You had met K in when she was wandering the halls. She was new and rightfully confused as to where to go. K looked about you age and was your basic blond haired, blue eyes, and fair skinned person. When you had asked for her name she simply replied with K, a nickname maybe? You wondered what her real name was though.
