Chapter 38: Tension

The tension in the room was thick, it was getting hard to breath, the room was silent. Misty was sitting at your love's work desk, away from the door, Karl was standing in front of the door, Donna sat in the left corner while you and your lady sat on the right. You looked down at your hands, pressing yourself close to your lady's side, she had an arm wrapped around you, giving you a sense of safety. Misty looked like she wanted to say something but the constant glares shut her up, she went to open her mouth but closed it immediately upon seeing your love's piercing glare. Finally after what seemed to be an eternity Karl spoke.

"Misty..."

Everyone's eyes shot up, whatever Karl was going to say, he didn't say, trailing off and resuming the silence. You took a small breath, everyone's scents tingled inside your nose. Everyone was nervous and tense, the sadness and happiness overpowered all smells. Karl took a deep breath before continuing.

"Misty... what...what are you planning?" he questioned, "What do you want?"

Misty picked at her fingers, not making eye contact. Her nervousness seeped into your nose and made it burn.

"I made you all a promise 50 years ago, and I intend to keep it."

She was quiet, her voice sounded like a timid child.

"That promise you made 50 years ago Misty?!"

Alci was getting angry, her voice laced with venom.

"Yes Alci-"

"TO HELL WITH THAT PROMISE!"

Alci's voice boomed, her anger radiating off of her. She shot up from her seat, the sudden movement and sound made you scream.

"I TOLD YOU IT WAS GOING TO TAKE TIME!"

Misty shot up from her seat, her voice loud and filled with anger.

"I TOLD YOU THINGS LIKE THIS AREN'T ACCURATE! I TOLD YOU IT COULD TAKE YEARS! HELL YOU SAID YOU WOULD WAIT, THAT YOU WOULD ALL WAIT NO MATTER WHAT!"

The yelling made you cover your ears, the noise was too loud and the smell of anger was strong. You close your eyes and focus on your breathing. The yelling and arguing continued and you felt your own anger begin to bubble to the surface, your other half slammed against your mind, sensing and feeding off your anger. You couldn't take it anymore.

"BOTH OF YOU SHUT THE FUCK UP!"

Your own voice made everyone freeze. You didn't know why they had all listened to you, why they were all shaking, the smell of fear slightly radiating off of them. Part of you hated that they feared you, but it still felt good, like you had control. You took a deep breath to calm yourself, one more thing could send you over the edge and you didn't need that.

"Please just sit."

Your voice was firm and clam, you could see everyone shutter before Misty and Alci sat back down, Donna and Karl both shifted uncomfortably. You sigh and place a hand on your head, refusing to sit back down. You look up at everyone before sighing again.

"Karl, Donna, Alci, please leave."

The three hesitated, Karl opened the door and Donna was the first to leave along with Karl. Alci stood and looked at you. You looked into her golden eyes and gave her a small smile. You weren't angry with her and you hoped she knew that. She gave a gentle smile and left the room, her body was still tense when she closed the door. You turned back to the sitting Misty as you stood at the door, you glared at her. She looked at her hands that were placed on her lap, refusing to look you in the eye.

"Alright Misty, let's discuss this in a more... calm manner."

Alcina's POV

When you heard Y/N scream it scared you. She had yelled at you before, you've both had your fair share of fights, but this time was different. What had scared you so badly was the power radiating off of her. You had felt it before, normally it was when you were both aroused, that dominating feeling. The feeling that you had to submit, that you had to let her take control, it scared you. What scared you more is that it wasn't just you that felt it, everyone felt it, you took Karl and Donna to the library to wait for Y/N and Misty to finish their conversation.
