Chapter 54: A Glimpse In The Past Pt. 2

You jolted awake, your body was sweaty and trembling. You didn't realize you were screaming until you felt a slight pain in your now raw throat. You felt someone clutching onto your body, their arms wrapped around you and their body rocking gently. Tears began to stream down your face as your trembling continued. The scent of Alcina hit your nose and you lean back more, your hands gripping her arms for dear life. She wrapped her arms tighter around you and rocked her body gently, her calming movements helped a little, but you still gasped for air as tears still steamed down your face.

After a few minutes that felt like hours as you focus on your breathing and trembling. Eventually your breathing went back to normal and your trembling ceased. You looked just up to meet your love's eyes looking down at you with worry and fear. She gently places a kiss on your forehead and you release the breath you didn't know you were holding. You shift around until you are straddling her lap, wrapping your arms around her in a much needed embrace. She squeezes you tighter and rests her chin on the top of your head. You could hear her heart racing, from fear no doubt, as you buried your nose onto her skin, taking in her intoxicating scent that you had the fortune to breath in.

"Alcina..." you mutter

She hums, sending a vibration down her chest that rang in your ears.

"I need to tell you something...about an ability I have..."

You could feel her nod her head before gently stroking your hair. She pulled you a bit tighter, letting you know you were safe in her embrace. You take a deep breath before continuing.

"D-do you know what Dream Walking is?"

"I believe Misty explained it to me once, but I do not recall all the details."

You shutter slightly at Misty's name, the images from before flashing briefly in your mind.

"Well to keep it simple, I can basically walk into other people's dreams. See from my own eyes what they dream of at night."

Your love hummed in understanding and nodded, waiting for you to continue.

"I'm always guided by my wolf when I Dream Walk, and this time was no different...only...I was led into Misty's dream." you shuttered, the memories coming back. "At first it was quite peaceful. She was making small magical animals for some giggling children."

You furrowed your eyebrows, trying to put what you saw in words.

"When she saw me, she told me that I shouldn't be there, that I needed to run. That's when the ground shook and the sky turned blood red and the clouds black. When I looked at her again she...her irises had turned gold and expanded, the white in her eyes completely gone. Her pupils shrank into little dots and she had a creepy smile on her face. She laughed, no, cackled then told me she warned me that I should have ran. That's when a portal opened and I ran to it, she chased me, but I got out of the dream just in time."

You didn't realize your body had started shaking again. You breath out a shaky breath as Alcina holds you tightly, still stroking your soft curls.

"I know what you're talking about all too well draga mea." she muttered

"Can you tell me about it?" you asked, you just wanted to understand what happened

Your love hesitated before shaking her head.

"No draga mea, that information is not for me to tell. Misty will explain everything to you when she feels the time is right."

You only nod in understanding. It was Misty's past after all, it was only fair that she told you if she wanted.
