Misty's POV

You sat in the chair and looked down at your hands. When Y/N yelled it seemed as if her wolf was yelling with her. It was hard to ignore the green aura around her. It was always there, but this time it became more potent, more noticeable, more powerful. You refused to look up at Y/N, she was standing in front of the door, probably to make sure you didn't escape. You refused to look at her, not because you were scared...well maybe a little, but because it was dangerous to look a wolf in the eye, especially when dominance is involved.

Suddenly she spoke, her voice was calm, but it still sent shivers down your spine.

"Alright Misty, let's discuss this in a more...calm manner."

You simply nod.

"Now do you want, like actually want. Don't try to lie, that bullshit won't work on me."

You sigh and look at her, making sure not to meet her eyes.

"Well Y/N, to know that we have to go back, far back."

"Tell me."

"Do you want the short version or the long version?"

"Depends on how long they each take."

"Short version will only take a few moments, the long version might take a few hours."

"Short version then."

You take a deep breath.

"Well we have to go back...back 50 years ago..."

Alcina's POV

You pace in the library, it's been several minutes and you've already gone through almost two bottles of wine, if Y/N doesn't hurry up, you might end up drinking four more.

"Alcina." Donna called out to you, her voice quiet and timid as always.

You turn to face her, you were already stressed out and angry, one thing could send you over the edge and you knew that. They all knew that. Donna walked up to you and carefully took your hand, guiding you back to the couch. You sat down and Donna stood in front of you, she looked down, shifting uncomfortable and picking at her hands.

"It will be alright...we can trust Y/N."

You give a deep sigh.

"I know Donna, but it's not Y/N I don't trust, it's Misty."

"I understand, but she didn't...leave...on purpose."

"I know-"

"I-I'm not done, please just let me speak."

You close your mouth and just nod. If you said anything Donna might shut down, and you didn't need that right now.

"She's right when she said that she couldn't control what happened. Death comes for us all and hers was while unexpected...but also...predictable. I think we should take it slow, one day at a time."

You lean back. You knew Donna was right. It wasn't any of Misty's fault and you took it out on her, although you were relieved to see her finally alive, you think the realization scared you. You give Donna a small smile and she timidly gives you a hug.

"Alright Donna, I'll take it slow. One day at a time."

She just hummed in response. You looked over at Karl, he immediately looked away, you gave a small chuckle as Donna released herself from you. You looked at Karl and he glanced at you, his shades slipping down a little to reveal his own golden eyes.
