So dark...
You could feel yourself floating, just existing in the never ending darkness of your mind.
"Y/N."
Someone called your name, not from the outside, but from the inside. You get to your feet and look at your arms, your white tattoos were glowing black and your skin glowed white. You placed your hands in front of you, the first time you were here you were Dream Walking, your skin was a dark gray and your tattoos were white, but this time they were flipped.
"Y/N."
You heard the voice call out again, this time stronger. You walk towards the voice and come across an invisible barrier, you saw a figure on the other side, it didn't look human.
"Hello?" you called out, your voice seamed soft and distant
The figure turned and walked to you, its skin glowing brighter the closer it got. Soon it was in front of you, the barrier not allowing it to pass, it was huge, it towered over you, you felt small under its gaze but somehow calm and secure around it. As your eyes adjusted to the bright light the creature was emitting you could see it more clearly, it wasn't just some random creature, it was a wolf, specifically a dire wolf. The wolf had glowing white fur and a small patch of black fur in the middle of its head. It had glowing blue eyes that made you feel safe and warm inside.
You place your hand on the barrier and you hear a voice, the voice you now recognize to be the dire wolf's.
"Hello Y/N. How have you been? It has been a long time since we spoke."
"Hello pup. I'm sorry but I don't seem to have all my memories with me. I can't seem to remember you or who I was before."
"I have forgotten...I can help you remember all your good memories, the ones before we became what we are. For the more painful ones" pause, "You'll have to see your darker side for that."
"It's alright pup, I think I'm ready to remember who I was, the good and the bad, no matter how painful those memories are, I have to know, have to remember."
The wolf sighed and placed its face where your hand was.
Light...
Birds...
Laughter...
You ran to your mother and hugged her, tackling her to the ground. You remember your 6th birthday was today. She laughed and so did you, your mother's laughter was like music to your ears, you loved her voice, nothing made you calmer but her voice. You could smell the fresh grass and flowers as your mother left to go make dinner. You laid there and watched the sky, it was calm in the village, nothing ever changed, as you all stayed away from the outside world, many other children wondered what it was like on the other side, but you were content on staying here, it was calm, peaceful.
A flash...
You and your mother were out buying some ingredients for the cake your mother was going to make for you, that was until you both came across a strange man, he was definitely not from here, you knew anyone and everyone in the village. You hid behind your mother's dress as the man approached you both, he greeted you both, he said that he was on his way home and got lost. Your mother invited him for dinner and to stay the night, he looked at you and waved hello, his smile was genuine. You walk from behind your mother and wave back, you liked this man, he was nice.
A flash...
As you grew older your mother and that man had gotten married, he was your now father. You were happy, after your biological father... after he... you couldn't remember, all you knew was that it was always you and mother, but now you finally had a father figure...but something happened, you couldn't remember? What was it? Why couldn't you remember?
