Chapter 20: Huntings

You wake up to the sound of the birds outside, you roll over to see a sleeping Alcina, the rays of sunlight illuminating her pale skin. You smile at your love's beauty before sighing deeply, that's when you remember last night's activities, making you blush deeply, your ears burning. You slid out of your lover's arms and suddenly felt a pain in your stomach.

"Geezes why am I so hungry?" you whisper to yourself

You quickly get dressed in a simple long sleeve shirt and sweatpants, making sure all your scars are hidden before making your way to the kitchen. You walked in to see only K, she was just drinking some water while looking lost in thought.

"Good morning K." you smile at her

She looked at you, there was a look in her eyes, anger, sadness, you couldn't tell.

"Morning Y/N." she said, there was no emocion in her voice

You gave her a puzzled look.

"Are you alright K? Did something happen?"

She looked down and started to nervously fidget with the end of her dress.

"A-Are you and the mistress a... thing?" she asked

You blinked in surprise. Well you and Alcina were a thing but the question was why did she care.

"Why?" you questioned cautiously

K turned a bright pink as she avoided eye contact.

"I-I like you." she mutters, barely audible

You were in shock. K, liked you. More than a friendly way.

"K, I'm in love with Alci, I'm sorry." you say calmly

K looked down, her cheeks still a bright pink. She muttered an apology before leaving the kitchen. When she walked past you, you could smell her overwhelming sadness and saw her tears threatening to leak out of her eyes. You let out a deep sigh before looking into the fridge, nothing looks appetizing, but nonetheless you take out a slice of bread and were about to eat it when the smell of it wafted into your nose. You nearly threw up at the smell, it smells disgusting, like it was routine, you examined the slice of bread, it wasn't spoiled.

The pain in your stomach became more intense, you doubled over and clutched your stomach. A groan escaped your lips as you stumbled out of the kitchen, maybe you needed some fresh air, and while you were out maybe you could find the Duke. As you walked to the front doors you heard a familiar buzzing sound and you smiled at the swarm of flies turned into Bela. You smiled at her warmly, trying hard to ignore the pain in your stomach.

"Good morning Bela" you give her a smile

She smiles back

"Good morning Y/N. Where are you going?" she questioned curiously

"Just getting some fresh air."

"Can I come with you?"

You look outside, it was starting to warm up and there wasn't any snow on the ground.

"If it isn't too cold outside, I don't see why not." you shrug

Bela squealed excitedly and dragged you to the front door. You quickly stop her and slowly open the door, ready to close it at any sign of Bela getting too cold. When she didn't freeze you both made your way outside and to the village, passing the nearby forest, small twigs snapping under your shoes. You both heard a twig snap and you both stopped, another snap and you both turned your head to the noise, it was just a simple deer, you sigh and so does Bela. Your stomach began to turn as you looked at the deer, you felt your mouth water as your nose found the scent of the animal.
