Chapter 34: Hello

Y/N's POV

You prowl in the bushes, nose close to the ground following the all too familiar scent of rabbit. You had been following this trail for about 30 minutes and was getting close, the last trail had led to a brown rabbit. Mia and Bela were behind you as they both followed you, looking close within the bushes and undergrowth to spot any movement. Mia and Bela spoke in low voices, you didn't pay too much attention to them, but you were glad that they could at least have a conversation without it being awkward.

Mia's POV

As you follow Y/N you talk with Bela, she in all honesty seems like the one who is least likely to kill you. You couldn't help but wonder how Ethan was doing, you pray to god that he hasn't pulled a gun on the other two. You had convinced him to come on this trip, you understood there was... tension between him and the Dimitrescu family, but over the last two days, they've...tolerated each other, mostly for Y/N's sake.

"So how did you meet mom?" Bela suddenly asked you, it took you a moment to realize she was talking about Y/N.

"Oh um, well that's kinda complicated..." I stuttered, I didn't know how much they knew, and didn't want to disclose any personal information without Y/N's permission.

"Well we know she was an Umbrella experiment, but nothing else." She admits, placing a finger on her bloodied lips

"I was her caretaker." you whisper out

"Caretaker?"

"Ya, to her I'm like a mother and she's like my oldest daughter."

"Oh... What happened to her real mom?"

You hesitated before answering. "I don't really know."

But you did know, but that wasn't information you would freely give out, if they wanted to know, they would have to ask Y/N herself. Bela seemed to understand and just nodded. You walked around for a little while, the whole time you wondered how Ethan was getting along with Cassandra and Daniela.

Ethan's POV

"Hey wait up!" I yell as the two fly swarms cackle in front of me

"Keep up blood bag!" Cassandra yells at you

"You're too slow!" Daniella follows after

You huff as you run, your legs were already getting tired and they knew it, they both didn't want to work with them and frankly you didn't either, you know that Lady D put you with her two most unhinged daughters on purpose. How you hated that woman, you only went on this trip because Mia thought it was a good idea, and even then, it was mostly because you promised Y/N you would all visit her. You stumble, tripping on a root, you quickly regain your footing and race after the two psychopaths, they're still cackling madly as you slowly catch up with them.

You slow your pace when they begin to stop, their laughter fading, you kneel down near a log, Cassandra on your right and Daniella on your left. There was a little black rabbit sitting in a small patch of grass. You look at the two girls and signal for them to flank the rabbit on the side. The nod and creep to the sides, making sure not to make a sound, you creep forward, a hunting knife in hand. You all jump onto the rabbit and before you could kill it, it bolts making you all crash on top of each other. You all scramble to get up and give chase to the rabbit, all working to take it down. Maybe they weren't so bad after all.

Alcina's POV

As you sit you keep an eye on Rose, making sure she doesn't wander off the blanket, she plays with Angie, who for the first time is surprisingly gentle, however Donna still watches her closely. You kinda expected Heisenberg to be a dick but surprisingly he's been relatively tame.
