Y/N's POV

You walk into your room and gently close the door. After the talk with Miranda you needed to see your love, seeing her so upset hurt you. You scan the room and don't see her, closing your eyes you hone in your hearing. The shower was running, but you could still hear the quiet sobs from within. You open your eyes and walk to the closed door, you could smell the lavender scent along with the salty tears and sadness, you whine slightly and gently knock on the door. You hear the sobbing stop and you gently open the door, the sight and smell almost made you break down into tears.

The water continued to spray down and create a warm mist in the air. Alcina was sitting in the tub, her knees close to her chest and her arms wrapped around her legs. She lifted her head, her face was tear streaked and her makeup was smeared, her hair silky from the water. You close the door and lean against it, breathing in you could smell her emotions more clearly. Sadness and anger. That's all that was there. You make your way up to her until you are in the shower with her, your clothes and hair becoming wet as the water rained down from the shower head.

You look deep into Alcina's golden eyes and begin to unconsciously wipe away her tears. Even in her saddened state, she was still beautiful. She began to cry more, placing a hand on yours and kissing it. She lowered her head and looked at you through her lashes.

"Why me Y/N? Why do you love me so much?"

You tilt your head, confused. You were going to say something but Alcina continued and you let her, not wanting her to shut down at you.

"I mean look at me Y/N. I'm a nine foot tall woman who drinks maden's blood. I turn into a hideous dragon when I'm starved for too long. I have anger problems and kill without any mercy or regret. Why would you love a monster like me?"

You cupped her face in your hands and kissed her lips. The kiss was soft and tender, but also loving and welcoming.

"Alcina, you're not a monster, and never will be. Your so-called 'hideous' dragon is majestic and beautiful. The way your powerful wings flapped in the air, how your tentacles wrapped around your body, your maw filled with teeth. It didn't scare me. It just left me with awe."

You pulled her closer and placed her head on your shoulder before continuing.

"You only kill to survive, your anger is for the most time justified. And as for your nine foot height, it doesn't bother me."

She looked at you, her golden eyes shining. You could smell her sadness and anger disappearing with every word, replacing itself with happiness and reassurance.

"You know I love you so much, that's why it hurts me so much to see you like this. You are not a monster, and you will never be a monster."

She nodded slowly. You cup her face in your hands and kiss her softly. The kiss wasn't heated or filled with lust. It was gentle and safe, willed with love and reassurance. You help your love get up and out of the shower before turning off the water and helping her dry off. You quickly get her the most comfortable nightgown she owns and hand it to her. She reluctantly puts it on and you guide her to the bed. Laying down you have her lay on you, her head on your chest. She was heavy, but her weight didn't bother you, you could still breath comfortably so to you there was no issue.

"Draga mea I don't think-"

"Shh love." you purr, cutting her off, "You're hurting, let me take care of you."

She looked up at you through her lashes and you stroked her damp hair. Her raven black curls slightly bounced as you continued to play with her hair. She snuggled closer to you, her arms wrapped around you as her body relaxed. As she was dozing off you muttered something, but you were sure she heard it.

"I'll keep you safe, I promise."

Miranda's POV

You tugged at the chains that hold you in place. This was humiliating, a powerful woman such as yourself was chained to a will in your own daughter's dungeon. Although humiliated you were also hurting, it confused you, this wasn't physical hurt, but something that hurt your heart. You had only felt this twice in your life. When your little Eva died and when Misty died. No one died this time, it only appeared when Alcina said that you were never her mother. When she said that, something broke within you, it was familiar yet foreign at the same time.

You sink to the floor, stopping your unconscious pacing. You sat there until you felt a familiar humm of energy. You looked up from the floor to see Misty. Your heart ached and your stomach felt like it was doing flips. The last time you spoke to her she walked away after you triggered her. You regret saying those words and you nervously fidgeting in your restraints, making the chains rattle.

"Miranda, please look at me." Misty spoke, her voice soft and strained.

You slowly look up, the chain on your neck rattling slightly. Your icy blue eyes meet her glowing purple ones. It's been so long since you looked into those eyes, those beautiful purple eyes. You examine her body. She was wearing a long sleeve dark blue shirt that hugged her body perfectly, bringing out her breast. She was also wearing an indigo skirt that reached her ankles, her hips showing more.

"Are you done?"

You meet her eyes again and you could feel your own cheeks become hot. She smirked, amusement dancing in her eyes. You look down at the floor, then suddenly an unexpected memory invaded your mind and you began to laugh. Nothing big, just a small silent one.

"A penny for your thoughts?" Misty asked

You looked up at her and smiled.

"Remember the promise you made 50 years ago today?"

"Which one? I've made many promises 50 years ago."

"The one you made a week before your death."

Misty thought for a moment before nodding her head.

"You technically kept it."

Misty snickered and let out a silent laugh. You laughed with her for a while before the air fell silent. You spoke, needing to get something off your chest, but you didn't know what.

"Misty...I'm sorry for what I said. I didn't really mean it..."

You trail off, not knowing what your mind wanted to say. Misty just looked at you, her face and eyes giving nothing away. You looked down and waited for her to say something, anything. You didn't notice that she had walked up to you until you felt her soft hands on your skin. She lifted your head and looked at you. Her face was so close to your's it became hard to breath, the air thick and heavy.

"Miranda...there's no need to apologize...if anyone should be apologizing, it should be me. I caused this mess in the first place."

You looked into her eyes. Her fingers ran against your cheeks and jaw, you unconsciously leaned into her touch, you never realized how much you missed her touch. You felt something wet run down your face. You were crying and Misty was wiping away your tears. You gave a small laugh as you continued to cry.

"I don't understand." Misty muttered, her warm breath hitting your face, "Why cry in front of me still?"

You give a small chuckle as Misty continues to wipe away your tears.

"Do you think I'd drop my walls like this for just anyone Misty? I'm still hurting, but I'll only let you see it."

Your eyes flickered to her lips and back to her eyes. 'I want her to kiss me," you think to yourself, 'Even if it's one last time, that's all I ask.'

You saw Misty smirk and your eyes widened in realization.

"Shit." you mutter, "I did not mean to say that outloud."

You felt Misty's thumb run across your bottom lip as she moved closer, you leaned forward and before you could get closer Misty stopped you both. She snickered, her face was so close as your breathing became heavy and uneven.

"When I trust you more, I'll let you."

That was the last thing she said before disappearing in a swirl of purple magic.
